2012 NFL Draft: St. Louis Rams Deal No.2 Pick to Redskins, Expected to Draft RG3
The Washington Redskins demonstrated their desire to better their franchise by making a deal with the St. Louis Rams for the No. 2 overall pick in this April's NFL draft, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Several teams were in the mix for attaining the Ram's pick, but in the end, it was Washington who was the lone team willing to give away three first-round picks. The Redskins will give St. Louis their No. 6 overall pick this year, along with their second-round pick, and their No. 1 pick in 2013 and 2014.
This is a fantastic deal for the Rams. They already have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford, so the need for Baylor's RG3 was not there, and picking at No. 6 will still allow them to get a premier player. They will be set up in the future as well having two first-round picks in each of the next three drafts, and theoretically, those picks will all be in the top 20.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Rams are in a position now to build a Super Bowl contender via the draft over the next few years. If you are a St. Louis fan, there is a lot to be looking forward to. New head coach Jeff Fisher must be salivating over the thought of all these first-round picks he will be making over the next few years.
As far as the Redskins go, they are putting everything on the line to make this deal. Mike Shanahan and the rest of the Redskins' brass will have a lot of explaining to do if this deal isn't a homerun. They will likely select RG3, and bank on him as the game-changer everyone is predicting he will be in the NFL. This is a huge gamble for a franchise to take, and not one every Redskins fan will be on board with.
