Buffalo Bills: Scott Chandler Agrees to Contract Extension
The Buffalo Bills inked another one of their own free agents today as tight end Scott Chandler signed a contract extension, per NFL Network's Jason La Canfora on Twitter.
La Canfora reports that the contract is a two-year deal, which should give Buffalo ample time to not only continue making strides on offense, but to find a complement to their big tight end.
Chandler, who is 6’7” and 272 pounds, is only 26 years old. A huge target for Ryan Fitzpatrick, he broke out last year with 38 catches for 389 yards and six touchdowns—all career highs.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With Stevie Johnson and Chandler both returning, Fitz gets his two favorite targets back for 2012 and beyond. Both extensions are good news for the Bills offense, which is looking to upgrade its weaponry on top of these recent re-signings.
Much like the team is trying to find a threat opposite Stevie Johnson at wideout, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Bills add another big tight end to complement Chandler.
The draft offers some intriguing prospects, including Orson Charles, Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener, Michael Egnew and Ladarius Green. All of these players are better receivers than blockers, but the addition of one of them would give the Bills a dual-threat player when in two-tight-end sets.
The Bills have kept their word on trying to retain their own free agents. They’ll now likely turn their attention to running back Fred Jackson, who has been seeking an extension of his own.
With free agency and the NFL draft right around the corner, Bills fans should be excited to see continuity taking shape.
