NBA Picks Week 11: Fantasy Basketball Wavier Wire Picks
Just a few short weeks remain to make that final push for the fantasy playoffs. Are you up to the challenge?
With the trade deadline swiftly approaching in a little over a week, several players will be donning new jerseys and in turn updating their fantasy value. Before we go shuffling the NBA deck, let's take a look at what players are flying under the radar and can help your team produce this week as well as down the home stretch.
My criteria for weekly waiver wire selections are players owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues who look interesting for the week ahead as well as some long-term plays.
C Bismack Biyombo (Charlotte Bobcats)
There isn't a hotter pickup right now than Bismack Biyombo. The Bobcats center returned last night from his brief shoulder injury sabbatical. He proceeded to throw down 10 points, 15 rebounds and an eye-popping seven blocks. He wasn't facing the five dwarfs of Ottawa either. This was a matchup against uber-center Dwight Howard.
There is no arguing that the Bobcats are awful—five wins to date—so the rookie should get all the court time he needs to wrap up the year in stellar fashion. He was just starting to prime the engine before the shoulder injury, so he appears to be dropping the gas pedal at this point. Guys who can single-handledly win you blocks each week don't come along often.
Shuffle, dump or burn, but find a roster spot for Biyombo if he happens to still be lingering around on the waiver wire in your league.

F Steve Novak (New York Knicks)
If you are in need of threes, look no further than Steve Novak. Over the past two weeks, Novak is averaging an incredible 4.5 threes per game. He is shooting a whooping 47.5 percent from behind the arc this season with 80 percent of his shots coming from downtown.
Novak is a one-trick pony in the truest sense of the word. He's averaging 14.6 points and 1.6 rebounds over the past two weeks and the remaining line is a barren wasteland. For a category killer, you'd be hard pressed to find his equal.

G Roddy Beaubois—Dallas Mavericks
Roddy Buckets has taken his owners on an interesting ride over the past week. He got the surprise start Friday night and took advantage of the prime opportunity by scoring 25 points, two threes, three assists and four steals.
Bafflingly Rick Carlile rotated stone-cold Vince Carter back into the starting five a night later. Even coming off the bench, Beaubois had a solid game Saturday and posted 18 points, two threes, two rebounds, an assist and a steal last night.
The Mavericks are on a five-day week so Roddy has more room to run in the short term, but hits a rough 3/4/3 game ration to close out the regular season.

F Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets)
March Madness time is almost upon us, and no one was opening eyes last year quite like Kenneth Faried. He was the swatting machine for Morehead State, carrying them a round or two past their expiration date.
He's coming on for the Nuggets as well. Last night, he scored 20 points with 12 rebounds, two blocks and a steal. He's been a solid contributor of late with Nene Hilario out dealing with his calf injury, so it remains to be seen how many minutes Faried will see with Nene back in the lineup.
Tuesday was a good start, and if he can continue to float around that 20-25 minute count he will fill in some nice lines to warrant late round value.

G/F Stephen Jackson (Milwaukee Bucks)
How is Stephen Jackson still owned in 52 percent of leagues?
The Stephen Jackson experiment in Milwaukee has been an unmitigated disaster. He's been battling a hamstring injury of late, but he was a perpetual DNP-CD in the weeks leading up to it. To say he and Scott Skiles have a rocky relationship is the vastest of understatements.
This toxic mix has to come to a resolution by the March 15 trade deadline. Jackson will get his wish to play for a new team as the Bucks look to cut the dead weight and Jackson has the talent to produce. The only real fly in the ointment is that $10 million dollar contract for this year that will be tough for potential trading partners to stomach when coupled with his non-existent season.
Long story short, watch this situation like a hawk.
