28 Days of 'Mania: Why Triple H vs Undertaker is Worth the Money
For everything the Undertaker and HHH are doing to promote the hell (no pun intended) out of their "Hell in a Cell" Match at WrestleMania 28, the bottom line is the mission behind "The Streak" is providing some of the best wrestling drama we have seen in some time.
Call it a little old school and a little look into the future, but the promos are pretty damn good. Good old Jim Ross should be smiling right about now, because business has picked up in the WWE, and in a good way.
While the creative teams and corporate heads have made mistakes over the last year with failed skits, bad angles and the ill-conceived "conspiracy angle" (thanks, Kevin Nash), they have gotten this one right on the money. When you have two 40-somethings who still have enough chutzpah to get in a ring and try and bring down the house like when they were in their late 20s, you have to applaud them for their effort.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The Undertaker is the most revered character in the WWE. Bigger than Hulk Hogan, bigger than Stone Cold, and yes, even bigger than Shawn Michaels and The Rock. Let's not even go near John Cena, because there is no comparison. What "the Dead Man" has accomplished in his career is unparalleled, and when he finally hangs up his boots, there better be a Ric Flair-like ceremony to honor him.
In a way, the 13-time world champion deserves a lot of the same accolades in his duties within the WWE and his growth and development of the brand. Two "dinosaurs" going at it for the love of the business. And two of the last in a dying generation of talent we remember like they were our best friends. The battle was won last year by Undertaker. Can HHH win the war?
It's hard to define greatness in this business. Wrestlers come and go. Gimmicks appear and reappear, and Ric Flair lives on (my shot at some humor).
When the banter is good, one can only hope the wrestling will be as well. And both still have the "it" factor working for them.
So much has been made of Rock/Cena and "the Streak" that this event should be about as great as any WrestleMania event ever. While Rock and Cena seem on edge and may not be able to deliver, there is no doubt two cagey veterans will get in the "cell" and tear the thing to shreds.
It is only fitting that these two champions of a dying breed bring you the best they have. It was how they were taught. And it is the only way they know how to do it.
That alone is worth the price of admission. Everything else is just a bonus.
