WWE News: Chris Jericho's Future in WWE Possibly Revealed
No one seems to know what Chris Jericho’s future holds.
Though he’s working a major program with CM Punk right now, there have been no reports confirming how long he’s signed with the WWE for or if he just came back for his highly-anticipated feud with Punk.
Jericho is working house shows, which is a good sign that he’s back for the long haul, but is that actually the case?

Well, here’s a recent report concerning Y2J that could reveal his future in the WWE, courtesy of WrestleZone.com:
"In what might be an indication of how long Chris Jericho's current WWE run will last, will be staying with WWE, it was announced this morning that his band Fozzy will be playing the Download Festival in The UK in June. Most bands that play Download usually do the whole European festival circuit which is from June until the end of August, however that has not been confirmed for Fozzy.
"
Jericho said in a KTLA Morning News interview (h/t Wrestling Inc.) that he and Fozzy are releasing a new album in August, as the band has signed a new record deal. As of now, WWE is still advertising Chris Jericho over at WWE.com for live events after WrestleMania.
Hmm. That’s pretty interesting.
This seems to indicate that Jericho’s program with Punk and his current WWE run will either end or be put on hold by summertime, but I’m not so sure I’m buying into that.
There’s always the chance that Fozzy does not “do the whole European festival circuit,” and of course, the band getting back in the studio doesn’t exactly mean that Jericho has to take a hiatus from the WWE or bolt it for good.
Perhaps Jericho will work TV tapings, but not work house shows while recording his album with Fozzy, or perhaps all these reports mean diddly squat and Jericho will be going nowhere anytime soon. To be honest, no one really knows.
On a whim, though, I’ll predict that Jericho is going to be in the WWE this summer and well past it.
When he returned to the WWE roughly two months ago, he came back in phenomenal shape and hasn’t lost so much as a single step in the ring. He’s looked great so far, is poised to be a main-eventer for the foreseeable future and likely has some recharged batteries after his year-plus long hiatus from 2010 to 2012.
While the speculation over Jericho’s future will continue, I’m just going to enjoy the ride and let things play out the way they’re supposed to.
