Brock Osweiler Combine: Sprained Foot Will Not Force ASU QB out of First Round
Former Arizona State quarterback Brock Osweiler's sprained foot will not hurt his chances of being taken in the first round of this spring's 2012 NFL Draft.
Osweiler will not participate in any lifting, running or throwing drills at the 2012 NFL scouting combine this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy, according to Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic.
Osweiler is opting to pass on the drills because of a recovering mid-foot sprain according to Somers.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 6'6" signal caller from Montana only started 15 games at Arizona State, but is still considered one of the top five quarterbacks available this April by many scouts and experts.
Osweiler's size is what makes him so coveted, and the fact that scouts and coaches will have to wait until March 30 to see Osweiler's throwing mechanics at ASU's pro day is hardly a stock killer. Osweiler told Somers:
""I don't feel like there has ever been a quarterback who is 6'7", 240 pounds and has the athleticism I do and can make every throw on the football field."
"
The junior Sun Devil completed more than 63 percent of his passes last year while racking up more than 4,000 yards passing en route to a 2:1 touchdown to interception ratio. He threw 26 touchdowns in 2011.
Osweiler was close to flawless in a September win over USC, in which he led the Sun Devils to a 21-point stomping of the two-loss Trojans behind a 78.1 completion percentage, the highest of his college career.
His experience is limited without question, and that is the greatest knock on him coming out as a junior, meaning it will be a factor until he is drafted.
Osweiler's missed opportunity for exposure at the combine will be made up for during his pro day back in Arizona. Scouts will see him run and throw on a football field before April, and that's really all that matters.
He measured in slightly under 6'7", and that bodes well for his first-round chances. There is no debating whether Osweiler can see clearly over the pocket or has a strong enough arm and frame to operate effectively in the NFL.
