Liverpool FC: Jonjo Shelvey to Be Loaned to Middlesbrough After Wembley Final
Jonjo Shelvey has potential to be a regular in a Premier League team. The stature of the club that he plays for in the future may depend on his present rate of development, though.
After a good solid loan spell with Blackpool, Shelvey is now set to move to another Championship side, Middlesbrough, under the supervision of boss Tony Mowbray, according to Sky Sports.
"Middlesbrough have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
The 19-year-old is set to move to Teesside on loan, but only after the Carling Cup final on Sunday.

At Blackpool, Jonjo Shelvey showed signs of the class that people would have seen before bringing him to Liverpool Football Club. He scored six goals in his short stay there. Following a serious injury to Lucas Leiva, Liverpool called Shelvey back from loan fearing lack of options.
Shelvey did start a game against Aston Villa where he impressed, but that was as much as he has featured for the Reds after being recalled.
Now that his development is again being hampered by lack of opportunity to play with and against players that he will learn from, another loan deal has been agreed upon.
Let us just hope that this is not the next chapter in another start-stop career like much of the recent talked-about potential of the Liverpool academy. Rather, I would like Shelvey to settle into a rhythm with a team. Inexperienced players need to feel that they belong to find their feet as soon as possible.
Now that he will be loaned to Boro, I would like him to stay with them until at least next January. Confidence plays a key role to player performance, as can be seen with Andy Carroll besides others in the Liverpool team.
Tony Mowbray is a decent enough manager to learn from and I am sure Shelvey will garner good confidence to make the step up to the Premiership and start performing on a consistent basis at the top level.
