Luis Suarez and 20 Superstars Who Need to Move in the Summer Transfer Window
World Football players need to move from club to club at different points in their careers.
Sometimes these reasons are obvious and sometimes the fans, the player or the club itself have different opinions on the matter.
These reasons could be due to a failure to perform, cultural differences, a need to further one's career or a variety of other things. In general, such moves are in the best interest of the player and sometimes the club.
Here are Luis Suarez and some other Superstars who need to move in the summer.
Luis Suarez
1 of 20This one is pretty obvious.
Given all the controversy that has surrounded him this season, Luis Suarez could do with a change of scenery.
His actions have helped tarnish Liverpool's image a little and he hasn't done much good for himself either. Suarez had his disciplinary problems at Ajax and it seems that he may carry that throughout his Liverpool career, however long it is.
Robin Van Persie
2 of 20It sucks to say (to be honest) but, Robin Van Persie should leave Arsenal.
At this current moment, his talent is being wasted on a team that is not going anywhere and he should follow his former friends and teammates out the door.
He will have no shortage of suitors and will be more likely to gain silverware at his new club.
Carlos Tevez
3 of 20This whole saga with Manchester City has seen Carlos Tevez's reputation take a dive.
A summer move is a necessity for Tevez's career and it really doesn't matter if it is to South America or elsewhere in Europe. Football is Tevez's job and right now he is not working.
The best thing to fix his reputation and his career is to get back on the field as soon as possible.
Wesley Sneijder
4 of 20Considering his current form, it seems as if the saga with Manchester United has troubled Wesley Sneijder.
He needs a change of scenery, and whether it is at Manchester United or elsewhere he would certainly benefit.
Inter is a club that is always changing something and Sneijder may not want to deal with a possible fourth coach in three years.
Kaka
5 of 20If there is one superstar who needs a change this summer it is Kaka.
His reputation has taken a hit and rightly so, as he does not look at all like the player he was once was.
Injuries have played their part in that but the increase of attacking talent at the club hasn't helped him either.
Kaka should want finish his career at the top of his game and at 29 years old going on 30, he needs to move to do that.
Yoann Gourcuff
6 of 20Yoann Gourcuff has seen his star falldom dramatically since his move to Lyon.
The player has been hampered by injuries but even without that he has not been the same player.
Gourcuff has now been relegated to being more of a bit-part player for the club as the season has progressed. His career is in need of revival and it seems unlikely that Lyon will be the place for such an occurrence.
Edinson Cavani
7 of 20Edinson Cavani needs to move from Napoli if he wants to continue his growth as a player.
Napoli is sixth in the league right now and may finish in a European spot but it is likely to be the Europa League.
Napoli could make a decent run in the Champions League but have to get past a more veteran team in the form of Chelsea.
Cavani has no shortage of suitors and a move to a bigger club would increase his status in the game as well provide him with a greater platform with which to showcase himself.
Daniele De Rossi
8 of 20Daniele De Rossi has the quality to play for all the big clubs across Europe and he should think about a move this summer.
Roma is a historic club but, unless they really begin to challenge in Italy and Europe, De Rossi will have little to show for his efforts.
Francesco Totti is a legend at the club but he hasn't won more than a few domestic titles. De Rossi can certainly achieve that with the club but he should aim much higher.
Marek Hamsik
9 of 20Marek Hamsik's situation is similar to that of the players on the two previous slideshows. Hamsik needs to move on to further his career at individual level.
Hamsik's time at Napoli has brought him as far as he can go right now and it is time for him that he goes to a bigger stage. Hamsik is Slovakia's shining light at the moment and his continued success could do good for more than just him.
Hulk
10 of 20Hulk should follow his former teammate Rademel Falcao to Europe's bigger playing grounds. The Brazilian forward is immensely talented and a big move is imminent.
He won't find a much better time to change teams than when he is heading into his prime.
Fernando Llorente
11 of 20Athletic Bilbao is a good side there is no denying that.
With Marcelo Bielsa at the helm the squad has been playing a more attractive brand of football and Fernando Llorente has been one of the beneficiaries.
Still, there doesn't seem much of a chance of any team breaking the Real Madrid, Barcelona duopoly and with many top teams in Europe, it is hard to see Bilbao winning too much silverware.
Llorente is the youngest of Spain's main strikers and though he is always generally in good form and a selection, a move to a bigger club could see him solidify a starting position for his national team in the future.
Ganso
12 of 20Neymar may be willing to wait until 2014 but that doesn't mean Ganso should follow the same route.
He is highly-rated but still not on the same level of his young teammate and a move in the summer would only be beneficial.
He was linked with Tottenham during the January transfer window, and interest will remain high if he starts off the Brazilian season well with Santos.
A move to Europe will help him become a better player and give him the tools needed to orchestrate what will certainly be an exciting Brazil side in the 2014 World Cup.
Giusseppe Rossi
13 of 20Giuseppe Rossi was looking for his big move last summer and it didn't happen.
He has been out of action for a while but he is a talent that will be picked up if available.
Rossi has more and more competition for a spot in Italy's lineup and, after five years at Villarreal, he may need some new scenery to keep him motivated and playing his best.
Lukas Podolski
14 of 20A lot of people will still have a huge question mark over Lukas Podolski after he failed to measure up while at Bayern Munich.
With all the transfer speculation surrounding him this season, it is time Podolski goes back to a club bigger than Koln and prove his doubters wrong.
If he gives his usual fantastic international performances during Euro 2012 he may attract even more suitors.
Andrei Arshavin
15 of 20Considering all that has conspired this season, a move back to Russia may help Andrei Arshavin finish his career on a high.
He certainly hasn't been horrendous nor necessarily a failure while at Arsenal but expectations were incredibly high for the diminutive attacker.
With the continued emergence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the possibility of Arsenal bringing in players, it is time Arshavin moved on.
Jan Vertonghen
16 of 20Jan Vertonghen will certainly move to a bigger club by the end of the season and he needs to.
Ajax is currently sixth in the league right now and will probably be knocked out of Europe as things stand in their tie with Manchester United.
A move for Vertonghen will be good for him, Belgium and whatever team attains his services.
Yann M'Vila
17 of 20The big clubs have been calling for Yann M'Vila and this summer should see him making a move.
M'Vila is on a team that may be unable to do anything in France and Europe anytime soon and a transfer would certainly be best for his career.
Eljero Elia
18 of 20Eljero Elia was a star in Holland and Germany but his move to Juventus has been quite a catastrophe.
The young Dutchman may not even be selected for Euro 2012 considering how his season has gone.
Elia has not reached double figures in games for Juventus and is certainly in need of a move in the summer.
Leandro Damiao
19 of 20Leandro Damiao may well be picked up by a top club this summer.
He has shown himself to be extremely proficient in front of goal, and he has skills that a number of clubs across Europe could use.
He faces a continuous battle with Alexandre Pato for a starting spot in Brazil's lineup and a move to a Europe could help him increase his profile in the world game.
Keisuke Honda
20 of 20Keisuke Honda is moving into the prime of his career and a move to one of Europe's big clubs would steer him towards becoming Japan's greatest football export.
That is dependent on his performances of course.
Honda has been linked with a number of big clubs and was close to a move to Lazio in January.
