Klitschko vs Chisora: Slap Heard Around the World Will End in Vitali Victory
Derek Chisora has opened up a can of who knows what going into his title fight against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, as the British challenger slapped the champion right in the face during the weigh in.
It was a shocking installment in what will unfortunately not be an even bigger fight. All Chisora's foolishness has accomplished is ensuring a beating from the Champ.
Klitschko has won his last 11 matches, five of which were taken by knockout. Now Chisora has given him even more of reason to add to that record.
Chisora is coming off of a split decision loss at the hands of Robert Helenius, and many can assume that he has bitten off a lot more than he can chew with his slap.
If he is unable to back up his actions, it is hard to imagine anybody giving him another chance to get into the ring with a fight as big as this one. He must win the title to have any real shot of getting another big time fight.
He is at a major disadvantage though, as he stands seven inches shorter than Klitschko, with a six inch shorter reach.
It is clear who has the advantage in this fight, and there is even more reason to take Klitschko after the immaturity displayed by Chisora at the weigh in.
Sure, Chisora is 12 years younger than his opponent, but it is clear that he may not be ready to fight an event that has this much riding on it.
With the fuel added to the fire, Klitschko will likely beat up on his counterpart. The slap was the equivalent of "bulletin board material" in football—Klitschko will use it as motivation to truly decimate his opponent.
Any fighter has a chance at any time, but there is no doubt that Klitschko will be going for the TKO to teach the young man what his mistakes can lead to.
