2012 NFL Free Agent Predictions: Forecasting Where Top WRs Will Land
There's an uncharacteristically solid group of wide receivers set to hit the free-agent market this offseason, which should make for an interesting summer. With the NFL moving more toward high-powered passing attacks, reliable wideouts will be a hot commodity.
Here are predictions for each of the top-tier receivers who could find themselves living in a new zip code for the 2012 season.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackson has spent his entire career in San Diego, but that may be about to change. Even though he's totaled at least 1,000 yards receiving in three of the past four seasons, the Chargers aren't planning on using the franchise tag on him.
The Rams would seem like the perfect landing spot for him. Sam Bradford desperately needs a No. 1 receiver to help his development after a couple seasons of trying to force the ball to below-average targets. To no surprise, he hasn't had much luck.
Jackson would finally give him a dynamic playmaker on the outside and would also take pressure off his fellow receivers, who were thrust into a role they weren't prepared for yet.
Prediction: St. Louis Rams
Reggie Wayne
It appears there will be a changing of the guard in Indianapolis this summer as the Colts look to the future following the likely selection of Andrew Luck in April. That also means Wayne, who didn't always look interested during the team's brutal season, could be on the way out.
If there's one team that could really use a player like him, it's the Arizona Cardinals. Larry Fitzgerald's production has been amazing when you consider how little help he's received since Anquan Boldin left. Wayne would take a lot of pressure off the Pittsburgh product.
The fact Peyton Manning has also been mentioned as a possibility for Arizona as well certainly doesn't hurt. It will just come down to navigating the salary cap effectively if both guys become available as expected.
Prediction: Arizona Cardinals
Marques Colston
Since the Saints have so many good receivers and the team also needs to re-sign outstanding guard Carl Nicks, Colston could be the odd man out in New Orleans. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, because he could demand a big deal on the open market.
The Raiders haven't had much luck drafting wideouts in recent years, they would be much better off signing an established talent like Colston. He would be far and away the most talented receiver on the roster, giving Carson Palmer a legitimate top target.
He's never received the amount of recognition he deserves because of all the stars on New Orleans' offense, but a move to Oakland would allow him to shine.
Prediction: Oakland Raiders
