Minnesota Twins: 10 Must-Have Food/Drink Items at Target Field

Collin KottkeJun 7, 2018

The 2012 season marks year three at Target Field for the Minnesota Twins, which means fans are still getting accustomed to the new digs.

Part of the new ballpark experience is finding all the new food and drink items, and Target Field has a lot of them.

Here’s a list of just a few of them that are worth checking out.

Tony O’s Cuban Sandwiches

1 of 10

A shout-out to Twins great Hall of Famer Tony Olivia and this wonderful sandwich that takes his name.

It’s got pulled pork. It’s got sliced ham. It’s got Swiss cheese. It’s got some tangy Dijon mustard. All in between a toasted Cuban bun.

These sandwiches will make you go “O!”

Angie’s Kettle Corn

2 of 10

Get your popcorn ready! Popcorn is usually linked to going to the movies instead of going to the ballpark, but this kettle corn is worth getting a possible weird look for.

You can buy Angie’s throughout stores in Minnesota pre-bagged and shipped, but at Target Field it’s popped right outside the gate.

Killebrew Root Beer

3 of 10

Everyone loves a good root beer. Why would a Killebrew be any different?

It’s named after the Hall of Fame slugger Harmon Killebrew and it’s almost as great as his power. Not only can you get just Killebrew Root Beer, but you can get a Killebrew Root Beer Float.

Kramarczuk's

4 of 10

Proximity means everything in today’s world. Kramarczuk's is just a mile from Target Field where their bratwurst, Polish and Hungarian sausages will be made and brought to the ballpark.

Nothing is more Americana than going to the ballpark with a brew and a bratwurst. Now you know where to go.

Vincent Burger

5 of 10

Who doesn’t enjoy a good burger? Vegetarians. They don’t know what they’re missing with the Vincent Burger.

It is made with Angus beef and stuffed with braised short rib and smoked Gouda cheese. If that doesn’t get your taste buds kicking, I don’t know what will.

Wild Rice Soup

6 of 10

At the very beginning of the season and at the very end of the season it can get downright cold at Target Field. How should you warm up? Go get some soup.

For six bucks you can grab a true Minnesota classic in some wild rice soup with some almonds and ham thrown in.

Just don’t get burned.

Chili

7 of 10

If you don’t think the soup is for you there’s always some chili. The Loon Cafe's Pecos River Red Chili has something you don’t usually find in your chili: sirloin steak.

That’s right, steak in your chili which also features onions, chili-peppers and Tex-Mex spices.

Walleye Fingers

8 of 10

Minnesota has a rich fishing tradition and that obviously encompasses the walleye.

Even if you’re not out on the lake in the summer, the fish are still close by. Target Field features Walleye Fingers, which are like chicken nuggets/fingers but with walleye instead.

If that’s not Minnesotan, nothing is.

Pork Chop on a Stick

9 of 10

If you've ever gone to the Minnesota State Fair, you've seen everyone walking around with a stick in their hand. On that stick could be anything from cotton candy to…well anything, like a pork chop.

And now you can get that at the ball park too.

It’s not only at the Great Minnesota Get Together that you can get your sticks, but at the diamond in downtown Minneapolis.

Mini Doughnuts

10 of 10

Okay, these are not uncommon and they're not specific to Target Field. But I love them.

Mini Doughnuts remind me of fun times, friends and county fairs. Well, county fairs don’t last all summer, but Target Field and their mini doughnuts do.

Not a fan of mini doughnuts? Cracker Jacks are always readily available.
