NBA Rumors: Teams that Should Try to Pry Steve Nash from Phoenix

Timothy RappMay 31, 2018

Though Steve Nash contends he doesn't think he is going anywhere, the whispers that he could be moved have started, namely after Phoenix Suns' general manager Lon Babby said that if Nash wanted to be moved, he would facilitate his desires.

The man that has meant so much to the Suns' organization has earned that, after all.

But if he decides he does want to be moved to pursue a championship, what teams would make the most sense?

Los Angeles Lakers

I'm not going to speculate as to what the Lakers would, or could, offer the Suns. But I'll say this: the moment Nash is made available (if he's made available), the Lakers should be the first team on the phone.

They desperately need a point guard, and Nash would fill the role to perfection. This is the most likely scenario in my opinion.

Raymond Felton isn't exactly holding down the Blazers' point guard position with an iron fist, and Nash could propel this team to a higher level than their 15-14 record suggests they are playing at currently. Nash would be a big-time upgrade.

It's really that simple.

Yeah, I went here. Can you imagine how fun it would be to watch Nash run the point on this team?

Pure madness.

Okay, okay, so it probably would never happen, but Nash would actually fit the pace the Heat like to run and would be an upgrade over Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole.

It's just so crazy it could work. God help the NBA if it ever happened.
