Carlos Tevez's Return to Manchester City Has Disaster Written All over It
Carlos Tevez is back in England, and his return to Manchester City is a disaster waiting to happen. Not only do the league leaders not need him, Tevez could bring more distractions to a club that should be focusing on winning the Premier League title.
Former City goalkeeper Joe Corrigan doesn't think Tevez's return will benefit the club in a positive way, telling BBC:
""I hope he doesn't get the chance to play," Corrigan told BBC Sport.
"It will all boil down to whether the player and manager Roberto Mancini can come to an agreement, but no one is bigger than the club.
"Since the Tevez situation reared its head the team spirit has increased, which has been proven by them digging in and getting results," continued Corrigan.

Tevez is a very good forward player, but Mancini already has enough attacking quality that can score goals for him in big matches. Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and Edin Zdeko are all capable of being tremendous in front of goal against any club in England.
If City were struggling to score goals, then maybe Tevez's return might help them, but the distractions he causes aren't worth anything he could give the club on the pitch.
Tevez has not played for Manchester City since he allegedly refused to come onto the pitch as a substitute in a Champions League match against Bayern Munich on September 27.
Francis Lee, a former executive at the club, also had some interesting thoughts on Tevez's return to City, telling BBC:
"You can't have people making trouble in the dressing room when you've got the tremendous spirit that City have now," said Lee. "That type of player—and one or two of the others he's let go—would be contrary to what you're trying to build.
"I'm sure that Patrick Vieira, who was a great player, is Mancini's eyes and ears in the dressing room.
"If he came back and destroyed the team spirit that they've got now, which would probably win them the Premier League, then nobody would forgive him."
"
Tevez is a good player, but City don't need his attacking talents to win the league when protecting goalkeeper Joe Hart on defense is the top priority. If anything, City need more defensive quality, not another top-tier forward.
If Tevez comes back and City lose the title to rivals Manchester United, the club would be faced with a nightmare that would last all summer, and that's the last thing the club needs.
