Oakland Raiders Needed Surgery and McKenzie Is Using the Scalpel
It takes wisdom to realize that sometimes the process of healing also entails causing pain. Reggie McKenzie is part of a restoration process to rebuild the Oakland Raiders into a championship team.
He has had to use his scalpel to cut out some of the flack and whack that may be hidden deep within the attitudes and performances of the players.
His first move caused an earthquake. The firing of Hue Jackson was a necessary ill to get things in order before making real progress.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It seems McKenzie is a man with a plan. He has a vision and he is manning the vision with those he trusts helping him bring it to fruition.
It seems that too many of the Oakland Raiders did not put their whole heart into the games near the end of the season. Too many times blunders and mistakes caused failure. Too many penalties caused fans to see the Oakland Raiders become infamous for inconsistent play.
There was a time when I thought the team should hurry and improve so that Mr. Al Davis could witness it. That did not happen.
Now there is no rush. McKenzie has a mind to give Dennis Allen a reasonable amount of time to build the team.
Stanford Routt is just one of a group of players that need to be re-evaluated. There are not sacred cows in this game called NFL football using the style and expeditious decision-making of McKenzie.
All I can say is: Go Raiders in 2012 and hope for the best.
