Everton vs. Chelsea: Complete Preview, Live Stream, Start Time and More
Chelsea will look to rebound from a disappointing draw with Manchester United when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. The Blues have already defeated the Toffees twice this season, once in Premier League play and once in the Carling Cup.
After blowing a 3-0 lead on Sunday, the Blues find themselves virtually eliminated from title contention and will now begin the chase for an automatic spot in the Champions League for next season. They are currently seven points behind Tottenham for that position.
Everton got off to a slow start, which left them near the relegation zone, before picking up the pace recently. The problem continues to be offense, as the Toffees are tied for last in goals scored at just one per game. There's no way to contend for a European spot with that type of production up front.

Player to Watch for Everton: Landon Donovan
Whenever Donovan arrives at Goodison Park, he seems to provide a much-needed spark to the Everton attack. The 29-year-old American midfielder has tallied five assists in eight games during his second stint with the club on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy.
It's almost as if opposing teams give him too much room to operate because they don't respect his distribution skills. That buffer won't last, however, because he continues to deliver pinpoint crosses on a weekly basis. Everton could really use a playmaker like him full time.
He'll need to be in fine form on Saturday if Everton is going to pull off an upset.
Player to Watch for Chelsea: Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge hasn't scored since before Christmas, which is one of the major reasons Chelsea's offense was slumping as a whole before a three-point outburst on Sunday. The Blues really need him to start scoring again if they are going to chase down the Spurs.
His biggest issue has been a lack of accuracy in front of goal. Chances that he was burying earlier in the campaign are now sailing wide of the net. Cold spells happen to even the best goal scorers, but he's too important to Chelsea to keep missing golden opportunities.
Don't be surprised if he finally gets back on the score sheet on Saturday.
Key Matchup: Marouane Fellaini vs. Juan Mata
Even though Fellaini can be a frustrating player to support when he's making poor decisions, he's been in good form since signing an extension earlier in the season. Perhaps the job security has allowed him to settle in. Whatever the reason, Everton needs him to keep playing well in the season's second half.
His task against Chelsea will be tracking back to keep Mata in check. The Spanish international has transitioned seamlessly to the Blues after several years with Valencia, scoring five goals and adding eight assists so far. He needs to get some more support on the attack, though.
If Fellaini can keep Mata under control, Everton will be in good shape.
What They're Saying
Everton defender Sylvain Distin said he was pleased to return against Wigan, but admits age might be starting to take its toll (via team's official website):
"I felt good. The end of the game was tough because I have not played much football lately. I had an injury and then came back and had another injury and that is the first time I have had two injuries in a season.
So I was a long time out and it felt good to be back but it was very cold, there was a lot of running and I am 34 now!
"
The aforementioned Mata came out in support of struggling striker Fernando Torres, according to Mark Doyle of Goal.com.
""Torres is good, calm and training and playing very well," the winger told MarcaTV.
"I know everyone talks about his goals [record] but I know he's going to [score more].
"He has provided many assists this season and he is certainly going to change those assists into goals."
"

Chelsea 2, Everton 1
