MIA Super Bowl Halftime Show: Possible Changes That Will Result from Flying Bird
The Super Bowl halftime show is going to be a different animal next year—MIA ensured that within an instant with one finger.
MIA had a brief cameo during the Madonna's halftime's extravaganza, and she decided to highlight that opportunity by flipping off the camera, and an audience that is almost assuredly going to be over 100 million people in the US alone.
The FCC no-no is reminiscent of Janet Jackson's "nipplegate" from the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. Following that broadcast debacle, the halftime acts went almost exclusively to older acts.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The closest thing to a young and current act they booked for the next six years was Prince.
They bucked that trend last year with the Black Eyed Peas, and then this year they went back to their old formula of surrounding their headliner with countless other acts.
Well, that formula is about to change again.
Back to the Golden Oldies
The Black Eyed Peas bucked the trend last year, and they are going to stand as an even bigger anomaly now.
It is going to be back to aging performers, and while that line can come off as insult to the acts, it isn't meant to.
For the most part, they have rocked. The 12-minute montage format is custom-made for experienced acts with deep catalogs.
Say Goodbye to Guest Performers
While Madonna certainly falls into the category of aging acts, the performers surrounding her were not. Well these are the wildcards that the Super Bowl could not prepare for, and obviously couldn't contain.
They can easily eliminate that problem by erasing the guest spots.
Again, this points to the aging rock acts. Performers like Paul McCartney, The Who and Bruce Springsteen have the benefit of having a whole band rocking the stage, and do not need to rely on guest spots.
Broadcast Delay
The other option here is broadcasting with enough of a delay that something like this wouldn't sneak into houses across the world.
This would allow them to pick any act they wanted, but it would also take away the thrill of having a live broadcast.
