LeBron James: Miami Heat Superstar Is the Most Valuable Player in the NBA
Lately I've been reading a huge amount of MVP articles. Some I agree with, some I don't. Many of these discussions start and finish with LeBron James.
If you didn't know, LeBron James is off to the best start of a season in his career. He nears a triple-double on a daily basis. James has dominated in every game this season. With his post game at it's highest, James is better than ever.
Other players like Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant are also having outstanding years, but they aren't even close to the level of King James.
Let's get to the award.
MVP stands for Most Valuable Player. Since everyone in the league is eligible for that honor, it must mean most valuable player of the entire NBA. Most of the time, people believe it means most valuable player of their team.
When people bring this discussion up involving LeBron, here are people's responses:
If you take LeBron away from the Miami Heat, they will still win. If you take Rose away from the Chicago Bulls, they won't. So you're telling me that Kevin Martin, Danny Granger and Joe Johnson should be ahead of LeBron?
If you take Martin away from the Houston Rockets, they become a non-threat. Take Granger off the Indiana Pacers, they won't even make the playoffs. And if Johnson gets removed from the Atlanta Hawks, there is no way they can compete in the East.
Don't make the argument that LeBron cannot win MVP because he is on a team with two elite stars. Half the time people don't even give Chris Bosh credit for his talent. Not to mention Dwyane Wade has been out for many games as well. So there goes that argument.
LeBron does exactly what his stats shows night in and night out, with or without the other "Big Two."
I'm not writing to trash other players or to praise LeBron. I'm simply writing this to let people know that hating LeBron is getting old. He's the most talented player to ever play in the league. Though he does not have the killer instinct of a Michael Jordan or Rose, he figures out other ways to get the job done.
LeBron James will win his third MVP of his career, which he truly deserves.
