Pro Bowl 2012: Why NFC Should Use Cam Newton and His Wild Shoes at WR
The NFL Pro Bowl is Sunday and despite all the reasons not to watch this meaningless, high-scoring game I guarantee you will tune in at some point, especially if your favorite team is not the New York Giants or the New England Patriots.
One player having fun with his fellow All-Stars out in Hawaii is Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton, who brought some awesome looking football cleats with him.
Would it be crazy for the NFC team to play Newton with his flashy yellow and orange cleats at wide receiver?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's not as insane as it may sound at first. Newton has good speed, is built like a tight end, and certainly has some knowledge of running routes since he's a quarterback and studies plays quite often.
According to NFL.com, Newton and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers have already connected at least once in practice.
"Newton was sent out to return an Andy Lee punt, which he proceeded to drop, much to the dismay of the hundreds looking on. Newton later closed the practice by lining up wide and catching a nicely thrown ball, about 50 yards down the sideline, from Aaron Rodgers.
“Did you see that?” Packers WR Greg Jennings said afterward. “He looks really fluid and natural. It’s kind of scary.”
"
The game doesn't count for anything so why not have the players mix things up and have fun, especially young players like Newton?
This would be an exciting thing for the fans to see and would be an unexpected move that would certainly bewilder the AFC defense. How do you defend a player as big and talented as Newton as a receiver?
The Pro Bowl needs something new because the event is by far the worst All-Star game of any North American sport. It's absolutely dreadful to watch from start to finish.
Adding something new and interesting like having Newton line up at wide receiver a few times would give the fans reason to check out this year's Pro Bowl.
