NFL Playoff Schedule 2012: 5 Pre-Super Bowl Events You Can't Miss
For a select and wealthy few, Super Bowl week is a chance to go to attend some outrageous parties and events, as well as the big game. These events can be concerts, club parties or tailgates, but what they all have in common is they are incredibly exclusive and incredibly expensive.
But if you are in the market to attend some high-end events in Indianapolis during Super Bowl week, click through the slideshow for a rundown.
Jim McMahon's Swang 'N' Super Bowl Charity Bash 2012
1 of 5Get an early start on the weekend festivities with Jim McMahon and his celebrity friends, including NFL greats Mike Ditka and Michael Irvin. The Charity Bash, as its name would imply, is for a couple of good causes, including the Hope For The Warriors charity for wounded members of our armed forces, and the Lynda McMahon Ferguson Foundation for Literacy.
Hopefully the benevolence of those two respective causes can make you feel good about spending upwards of $600 on a VIP ticket.
Leather and Laces 2012
2 of 5If you're looking for some skin, Leather and Laces is your scene. A two-night event, Leather and Laces will feature several B and C list celebrities, known mostly for not wearing much clothing, including Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra and JWOWW from Jersey Shore.
And if that isn't enough surgically modified eye candy for one Super Bowl week, attend the second night this year to see a reunited cast of "The Girls Next Door."
If half-naked pseudo celebs is what you are looking for, look no further then Leather and Laces 2012, where $450 a night (or $850 a night for VIP) gets you access.
NFL Honors Awards Gala
3 of 5If a pure, football-only experience is what you want for your Super Bowl weekend in Indianapolis, the inaugural NFL Honors award show is the place to be. To be hosted by Alec Baldwin this year, a treat in and of itself, the NFL Honors show will be used to unveil all the major AP/NFL awards, including MVP, Coach of the Year and Rookies of the Year.
The event promises to be covered up with NFL legends, past and present. Tickets start around $500 online.
Pepsi Super Bowl XLVI Fan Jam
4 of 5For the music fan out there, the Pepsi Fan Jam is the bargain of the week. With general admission tickets starting at just $50, it's easily the most budget-friendly event going on. However, $50 suddenly seems like a truckload of money when you realize it means having to sit through Gym Class Heroes, B.o.B. and All American Rejects.
Suddenly 10 minutes of Madonna for free at halftime doesn't look so bad. Why the NFL can't hire someone with at least a shred of musical taste is beyond me.
Rolling Stone Super Bowl Tailgate Party
5 of 5Of all the tailgates on the day of the Super Bowl, Rolling Stone's gets my vote. Jane's Addiction and the Roots are pretty much the closest thing you will get to good music in close proximity to the NFL.
But the clincher for this one? New Orleans culinary giant John Besh will be preparing the menu. Is it worth $560? Clearly not, but it's the Super Bowl. Overpaying is the name of the game.
