Giants vs. 49ers Video: Ashkon Channels Jay-Z and Kanye with '49ers in Paris'
Well, this is one way to interpret battle rapping.
San Francisco-based musician Ashkon—creator of the 2010 playoff anthem for the San Francisco Giants, "Don't Stop Believing," that went viral on YouTube—has created a new song, this time for the San Francisco 49ers entitled "49ers in Paris."
And he samples a track from Jay-Z and Kayne West, the title of which I can't post here, but you can just go ahead and check out for yourself.

An interesting choice, to sample New York native Jay-Z before the 49ers face the New York Giants. It reminds me of the time Jay-Z was sampled before the Phillies played the Yankees in the 2009 World Series with "Ill State of Mind."
I'm sorry to report, 49ers fans, that sampling Jay-Z in that case didn't turn out so well.
One way or the other, this is a fun tune and should properly hype up the 49ers locals. I leave you with my favorite line in the song, which references this hit on Pierre Thomas.
"If you was hit like Pierre was hit / You probably gonna cough up the ball too.
"
There's nothing worse than pity from the victorious side. Well played, Ashkon.
