Terrell Owens: Future Hall of Famer Takes Embarrassing Plunge into IFL Shame
Terrell Owens has never been shy about anything, and he isn't about to start being shy now.
Owens has been out of football for an entire year but, according to his Twitter account, he's finally coming back. He posted this video and this tweet:
It won't be in the NFL though, or the CFL or even the AFL. Instead, one the NFL's best receivers of all time will be catching touchdown passes in the IFL.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Allen Wranglers will be T.O.'s new team, and his season starts February 25th.
The Wranglers co-owner, Jon Frankel, added a few interesting bits of information regarding Owens' new job.
The ESPNDallas report states, "Frankel said Owens will play in all the home games, and it hasn't been decided whether he'll play in road games," and quotes the owner saying:
"[Owens] has an ownership stake. This is a business decision. I'm glad everybody looks at the players' aspects. I can't believe T.O. will come out of that tunnel for the Allen Wranglers ... He's a great player, a winner, and I'm a big fan. I want to make the Allen Wranglers the No. 1 attraction in Collin County.
"
Collin County is home to Allen, Texas—a suburb about 30 minutes north of Dallas—and one of 16 locations of IFL teams across the country.
Why has Owens decided to take on this embarrassing task of playing in a league so far beneath the NFL?
A simple guess is that he simply still wants to play the game of football. Hell, people often forget that, while football is a business, at its very heart is love of the game.
Owens hasn't played 15 NFL seasons for glory or money. He hasn't kept himself in peak physical condition to prolong his life. He's done all these things so he can keep playing football at the highest level.
As things stand now, this is the highest level offer he's received since his injury. There is no mistaking the Owens we saw in the open workout early this fall wasn't the same receiver we used to see do this:
There is also the fact that Owens is dealing with as many as four child support cases right now and could, in fact, be doing it for money this time. But that could work out in his benefit anyway.
If Owens looks healthy (forget about stats and whatnot) he'll have been working out and playing solidly just as teams are preparing to make picks in the 2012 NFL draft.
This is an embarrassing stop for Owens, but he'll make the most of it and have fun with it at the same time.
If all works out and he looks healthy, don't be surprised if this turns out to be an actual blessing in disguise.
Always chuckin' the rock on Twitter too.
