WWE News: Early Plans for WrestleMania 29 Revealed
WrestleMania 28 is still more than two months away, and other than The Rock vs. John Cena, we don’t really have any clear indication of what to expect from the WWE’s biggest event of 2012.
But, in the wrestling business, it’s never too early to look far ahead into the future.
Though WrestleMania 29 doesn’t take place for another 15 months or so, company officials reportedly have some tentative plans in place for its flagship PPV in 2013.

"WWE announcing Edge for this year’s Hall of Fame in Miami would indicate that Toronto will not host WrestleMania 29 next year. Toronto had been discussed but news came out today that Dallas, Texas and Cowboys Stadium is being considered for next year. The idea would be to use Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar and perhaps The Undertaker’s retirement as the big outside draws. Toronto was expected to see Trish Stratus and Edge go into the Hall next year if it hosted WrestleMania.

While I’m currently looking forward to WrestleMania 28, it’s hard not to be excited about the potential that WrestleMania 29 has.
Though the WWE may have a scheduling conflict with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament if it tries to host WrestleMania 29 in Cowboys Stadium, it would be huge if the company could host its flagship PPV in one of the biggest and best stadiums in the country.
And the pay-per-view itself could be nothing short of epic.
With rumors floating around about Brock Lesnar and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin both coming back to the WWE for at least one more match, the WrestleMania 29 card could be headlined by something like this: Stone Cold vs. CM Punk and The Undertaker defending “The Streak” against Lesnar in the final match of his career.
Wow. That would be ridiculously awesome.
While a lot of pieces have to fall into place for all of those things to happen, it’s still very exciting to think about.
WrestleMania 28 is shaping up to be a huge pay-per-view—potentially one of the best ever, in my opinion—but it could quickly be surpassed by WrestleMania 29.
