Tim Tebow's Fire Video: John Parr Remakes "St. Elmo's Fire" for Broncos Star
There aren’t too many times in my adult life that I have been left speechless by something I cover. This is one of those times.
Former star musician John Parr’s remake of the 1985 No. 1 hit "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)" featuring lyrics about Tim Tebow has left me speechless.
As soon as the song hits, we are transferred back to a time of leg warmers and big hair, but it isn’t until we hear the sweet melody of Parr’s voice that we realize that it is still 2012. Thank goodness.

While a trip back to the 80s would be fantastic, having Parr bring the wildest decade to the modern-day masses via his remake is a genius move. Nothing will make you relevant faster than by using the Tim Tebow name as a launching point for whatever you’re doing.
I bet John Parr’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing since this song went viral. Twenty-five years of waiting for a call, now the man is turning people away.
This isn’t just some random guy trying to capitalize off Tebow’s name, either. Parr is a Denver resident and a Broncos fan. That makes re-writing the song far more acceptable now. I think.
Not only does this song bring back thoughts of the brat pack and all the excellent movies we had in the 80s, it starts to make me wonder which famous star of the decade will be next to do a song if Tebow beats the New England Patriots this week.
My honest hope is that Tebow and the Denver Broncos beat the Patriots in New England this week. If the superhero can pull off another miracle, I say we get all our pennies together and call Joe Esposito. You don’t know who that is?
Karate Kid ring a bell? And is there really anyone better than Tebow? He’s the best!
