Tim Tebow as a Leader: A Comparison to Valley Forge?
What? Tim Tebow and Valley Forge? Is she crazy?
No. I am not crazy. I am just making a simple comparison in which Tebow is the reminder of our history in America. Whether we learn through war or football, there are many similarities to Tebow and George Washington.
Let us not be so cynical by calling him the second coming of Christ. We are not immortal after all. What Tebow has done, in the face of this country, is prove several facets to which our country stands.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If we have a figure in this country that is going to demonstrate a belief in God, let him do it! Perhaps this is what this country needs. Someone to stand up for what they believe in and that it's OK to praise God without being ridiculed or have it "forbidden" in America.
Too often we have allowed this country to take "God" out of so many aspects. More power to Tebow (and those that support him) for not wavering.
While Washington and his Army were fighting the British, there were two hills in which they used for defenses. Mount Joy and Mount Misery.
If you think of the famous Arnold Friberg painting of General Washington kneeling beside his horse, wouldn't you say that Tebow is the reminder of what this country should be doing?
The critics of Tebow are obviously sitting on Mount Misery. Nothing better to do than criticize a football player for his, shall we say, less than admirable numbers on the field. He is winning games, indeed, however, it may not seem good enough to critics.
Mount Misery—awww yes, a place that will keep one bitter and in angst over someone's success.
Those that support Tebow are obviously on Mount Joy. They love everything about him. They embrace his message.
Often I have seen fans of other teams and football players alike support Tebow without hesitation. It is a craze after all. According to Twitter, "@TimTebow lead the Broncos" class=" twitter-atreply pretty-link" rel="nofollow">@Denver_Broncos to an overtime playoff win and a new sports Tweets per second record: 9420."
As I perceive Tebow and his message, he appears to be relishing the good and the bad. Learning from mistakes. Tebow is not perfect, he just has a strong faith in his heart that allows him to accomplish many attributes, while still maintaining humility in defeat.
The difference between Tebow and Valley Forge is that Tebow makes football exciting to watch.
He rallies his troops. Broncos have a great defensive leader in Von Miller and Tebow marches down the field utilizing his team around him. May sound cliche, but when I think of Tebow kneeling, I honestly think about the moments of Valley Forge and that famous painting.
Overcoming our own battles. Showing such faith in decisive victory.
Somewhere in our history, the true American spirit appears to have been lost. Tebow brings back an aura to him that people may perceive to be wrong or right. That would obviously be the difference between which mount you decide to sit on.
With that said, as a player, who ironically enough threw for "316" yards yesterday—just remember this; excellence is a process, not an event.
