Angel Reese's Play in Unrivaled Has Fans Eyeing Year 2 WNBA Leap as Rose Lose to Owls
Angel Reese dropped 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting and six rebounds for Rose on Saturday in Unrivaled action, but Lunar Owls were victorious behind 31 points from Napheesa Collier and 21 more via Skylar Diggins-Smith.
Still, Reese looked impressive and showcased a more diverse offensive skillset, like on this layup here after facing up and driving into the lane.

Reese also knocked down a mid-range jumper from just beyond the free throw line in the first quarter.
She made her Unrivaled debut on Friday, when Rose lost to Vinyl 79-73. The ex-Maryland and LSU star posted a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double in that contest.
Overall, there's plenty to like about what Reese has shown so far as she readies for year two in the WNBA.
In year one, Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds while earning All-Star honors and finishing runner-up in the Rookie of the Year race.
Reese shot just 39.1 percent from the field, though, and there's room for improvement on that front. She could also showcase a more varied offensive arsenal.
Based on early returns in Unrivaled, though, a leap could certainly be forthcoming. Fans took notice for sure.
Rose will next play on Tuesday, January 25 against Mist, which is 0-1 after losing its opener 84-80 to Lunar Owls. The game can be watched on truTV and streamed on Max.
