Giants' Abdul Carter Reacts to Odell Beckham Jr.'s New Jersey Number With LeBron James GIF

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. announced on Tuesday that he's returning to his original No. 13 jersey, and no one is happier than second-year edge rusher Abdul Carter.

After spending training camp sharing the No. 3 with Beckham, Carter responded to the wideout's jersey switch with a gif of NBA star LeBron James famously declaring, "It's about damn time."

Beckham wore the No. 13 jersey during his first run in New York from 2014 to 2018. When he rejoined the team this offseason, the number was already occupied by wide receiver Jaylin Hyatt. However, the Giants waived Hyatt on Sunday before being re-signed to the practice squad, opening the door for Beckham to assume his old number.

Carter is coming off a solid rookie season in which he produced 43 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and four sacks. However, much more is expected of the 2025 No. 3 pick, so he will look to break out in a big way during his sophomore campaign.

If Carter becomes the star the Giants are expecting, the No. 3 jersey will become a popular collector's item in New York.
