NFL Draft 2025: Projections for Hottest Prospects After Updated Selection Order
The 2025 NFL draft class does not have the abundance of first-round quarterbacks as the year prior, but the top signal-callers will still be demand at the top of the draft order in April.
The Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns each have shaky quarterback situations and could opt for fresh starts at the position.
Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward are the two best quarterbacks in the draft class, and they might be the only quarterbacks chosen in the first round.
The need for new quarterbacks in Tennessee and Cleveland could outweigh the selection of the best individual player in the talent pool.
Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter should make an immediate impact on either side of the ball, but he may have to wait until at least the No. 3 overall pick to hear his name called.

Cam Ward
2 of 4
Cam Ward is the No. 1 quarterback on the Bleacher Report NFL scouting department's big board.
Ward is the No. 6 overall prospect on the B/R big board, but where he's ranked on anyone's list may not matter for where he lands in April.
Both the Titans and Browns need a quarterback. The No. 1 overall pick will likely come down to which quarterback the Titans value more between Ward and Sanders.
Ward finished off his collegiate career with a 4,300-yard season at Miami. He produced four straight 3,000-yard campaigns across three different colleges in the last four years.
Ward produced 39 touchdown passes in 2024, and most importantly, put together his fourth collegiate season with a single-digit interception total.
The consistency in the pocket combined with Ward's lengthy experience could be the deciding factor for Tennessee, but if the Titans opt to select Sanders, the Browns may gladly swoop him up at No. 2.
The news of Deshaun Watson re-tearing his Achilles reset his recovery timeline, and in turn, changed around the Browns' quarterback plans for at least the short-term future.
Shedeur Sanders
3 of 4
Sanders checks in as the No. 16 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback on the B/R NFL scouting department big board.
It's pretty much guaranteed that Sanders will be selected far higher than that prospect ranking because of the quarterback needs at the top of the draft.
Sanders enters the draft with four straight 3,000-yard seasons between Jackson State and Colorado. He had at least 27 passing touchdowns in all four of those seasons.
The one blemish compared to Ward, though, is that Sanders' interception total increased to 10 in his final collegiate season.
But it's also worth noting that Sanders put up his high totals with little to no offensive line help. He was sacked on 94 occasions in two seasons at Colorado.
The strong numbers under pressure might actually sway the Titans or Browns one way, especially if they think they can get better production out of Sanders with a stronger offensive line in front of him.
Travis Hunter
4 of 4
Travis Hunter is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 draft class, per B/R's NFL scouting department.
The Heisman Trophy winner has yet to decide if he will play wide receiver, cornerback or both in the NFL.
The B/R scouting staff believes his best position is cornerback, where he is graded a few points higher than every other player at the position.
Hunter could be a massive help on either side of the ball for the New York Giants, who hope Sanders and Ward go 1-2 so that they have the chance to land the two-way star.
A Hunter-Malik Nabers wide receiver duo would be tremendous to watch, but Hunter probably serves a better purpose to the Giants as a defensive back.
He would immediately be the Giants' best corner and would help re-build a foundation for a defense that gave up the ninth-most total yards in the NFL this season.
