Dak Prescott Expects to Be 'Full Go' for Cowboys Offseason After Hamstring Injury
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who is out for the season after suffering a hamstring injury, said he plans to begin the team's 2025 offseason program on time with no restrictions.
"My plan is to start OTAs and start the offseason no restrictions, full go," Prescott told Garrett Podell of CBS Sports.
"That's part in getting this jump on this surgery that we thought was inevitable anyways. At that point, just doing everything I can to be the best quarterback and leader of this team to help this team come in next year with the best outfit that we can."

Prescott underwent surgery after his hamstring tendon partially tore off the bone (a partial avulsion). In eight games this season, the ex-Mississippi State star completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns (eight interceptions) and 1,978 yards.
For the moment, Prescott is taking small steps in his recovery. Thankfully, he said he feels good and can even drive for the first time post-surgery.
"I feel good. Still on the crutches. I'll be on the crutches for a little bit longer but starting to walk a little bit more with my weight," Prescott told CBS Sports.
"Getting to drive today, that's something new. So that's a step. It's a little goal in the process but yeah, start starting to be able to do more, which is fun for me and now I can start collecting my small victories."
Podell noted that Prescott's next steps are getting rid of the crutches for some few physical therapy exercises before graduating to full-time weight-bearing.
Unfortunately, Prescott has dealt with significant long-term injuries in the past after suffering a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle during an Oct. 11, 2020 game against the New York Giants. He was able to return in time for the 2021 campaign, however, and all signs point to Prescott being good to go for the 2025 season as well.
In the interim, Cooper Rush has took over as the starting quarterback, with Trey Lance as the backup. The 5-7 Cowboys are still alive for the playoffs but sit two-and-a-half games behind the Washington Commanders for the final NFC wild card spot.
