Army All-American Game 2012: Dorial Green-Beckham and More Top Studs to Watch
With the National Signing Day right around the corner, this is a great time to watch some of the best high school players in the land. Games such as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl give football fans a golden opportunity to preview what we'll see for the next four years, or more.
These are some of the top players playing in this year's game. You're going to want to keep an eye on these players, as you'll be hearing from them a lot in the coming years.
All rankings courtesy of the Rivals 100 list.
Dorial Green-Beckham: No 1 ranked recruit.
We can sit here and look for an comparison all that we want, but we'll be here for a long time. Even at receiver, there just aren't many guys that run like Beckham and are also 6'6", 220 pounds. He's uncommitted as of now, and the school that lands him will get an absolute beast.
As a senior, Green-Beckham had 119 catches and over 2,000 yards receiving. It will be fun to see him match up against the rest of the top studs in the country. It's going to be a preview of the NCAA scene.
There will clearly be a lot of talent on the field, but Green-Beckham will be ahead of all of them.

Shaq Thompson: No 7 ranked recruit.
Here's another uncommitted player (as of now) that coaches dream about. He'll be a safety in college, but was a high school running back, showing that he does have the speed needed to cover receivers deep.
But at 6'2", 210 pounds, Thompson also brings the size and punch that you want out of a safety. The speed and ability to defend the pass is one thing. But when you have that and the size and strength to defend the run, it's quite another.

Gunner Kiel: No. 18 ranked recruit.
When looking for a comparison, the name that I keep coming back to is Ben Roethlisberger. He's 6'4", 220 pounds and runs a pro-style offense.
But while he's not a mobile quarterback like Michael Vick or Cam Newton, he's not a statue either. No, Kiel is more than capable of extending a play with his feet when the plan breaks down. That's where the Roethlisberger comparison comes from.
Unlike the other two players, Kiel has committed to LSU, going there over Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. Still, while we know where he's going, it will be fun to get a preview of what the No. 1 team in the land will be getting for the next four years.
