Dak Prescott: Cowboys' 2024 NFL Season 'Been as Tough' as I've Ever Had amid Injury
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott admitted that the team's 2024 campaign has been "as tough of a season as I've ever had," according to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News (h/t NFL.com's Nick Shook).
"I'd probably say the toughest," he added.
The Cowboys currently sit at No. 3 in the NFC East standings with a 3-7 record while Prescott was recently placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 9.

He explained that he's been on a "roller coaster" emotionally during the year.
"It's been a tough year personally with my emotions because it's a roller coaster," Prescott said, via Shook. "It's truly been ups and downs. I would say riding a wave I'm constantly preaching about not riding."
The 31-year-old will finish the 2024 season with eight starts, the second-lowest amount in his career for a single year. In 2020, Prescott suffered a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle in Week 5 that ended his season.
While he's dealt with long-term injuries in the past, his individual struggles before the hamstring issue in 2024 likely compounded his frustration.
Prescott signed a massive four-year, $240 million extension with the Cowboys before the start of the regular season. Prior to his injury, he was completing 64.7 percent of his passes for 1,978 yards and 11 touchdowns compared to eight interceptions.
Dallas averaged a league-leading 29.9 points per game in 2023, although the team was recording just 21.4 points per game in the eight contests that the signal-caller appeared in this season.
After the Cowboys reached 12 wins in each of the past three years, the team is now trending towards missing the playoffs for the first time since Prescott's injury-shortened season in 2020.
