NFL Trade Rumors: Raiders, Bills Among Teams Not Expected to Make Deadline Moves
It looks like several NFL teams are content to roll with their current rosters and avoid any further moves at the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints will likely not be "buyers or sellers" ahead of the Nov. 5 deadline and will navigate the remainder of the schedule as is.
" It isn't a secret or exciting, but it makes sense: The Denver Broncos love what they are building with their young players, especially after their best offensive performance of the season last week (28 points on four Bo Nix touchdowns). Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has been a superstar, orchestrating a unit that has slowed down some high-powered offenses this year. Still, I don't expect the Broncos to be buyers or sellers. You can add the Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints to this group."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
The Raiders are currently 2-6 and sit in last place in the AFC West. The team already dealt away wide receiver Davante Adams and others like Maxx Crosby and Jakobi Meyers could have an intriguing market. However, the franchise has consistently expressed a desire to avoid additional moves and instead keep the current roster and potentially reload in the offseason.
The Bills are in a much different situation, currently sitting at 6-2 in the AFC East. The team added wide receiver Amari Cooper last month and further moves could help the team push for a potential first-round bye in the postseason. However, the Bills have just $2.6 million in cap space, per Spotrac, and a possible move would likely require some financial maneuvering.
The Denver Broncos are currently 5-3 and appear to be a legit contender to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. An additional playmaker for rookie quarterback Bo Nix could help boost the team's chances, but parting with value and potentially clogging a roster full of young talent does not appear to be a desirable strategy for Denver.
The New Orleans Saints got off to a 2-0 start but have since lost six consecutive games and would need a complete momentum shift to sniff the postseason. Selling high on some talent could be an intriguing option, but the hot start and the talent on the roster make punting on the season a tough choice.
