Week 7 Waiver Wire: Top Pickups and Drops Likely Available After Reviewing Box Scores
You never know which players will become the most popular waiver-wire pickups on a weekly basis.
Ray Davis is the perfect example of that. He did not appear to be in line for a start on Monday night until hours before kickoff and then he turned into the star of the Buffalo Bills win over the New York Jets.
Davis will be a wildly popular pickup ahead of Week 7 because of how effective he looked inside the Bills offense in Week 6. That does not mean he will be the starter when James Cook returns, but split production is more of a possibility than it was a week ago.
The Cincinnati Bengals defense may be even more popular than Davis over the next few days.
The Bengals take on the depleted and struggling Cleveland Browns offense in Week 7, an ideal matchup if there ever was one for a fantasy football defense.

Cincinnati Defense
The Cincinnati Bengals defense may end up being more popular than any individual player on the waiver wire in the next few days.
The Bengals match up with the Cleveland Browns, who just traded away Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills.
Cleveland's offense was horrible to begin with, but losing its top wide receiver could make it even more ugly in Week 7.
The Bengals defense turned a corner in Week 6 with a pair of sacks on Daniel Jones and the concession of seven points to the New York Giants.
Watson has been sacked on 31 occasions so far this season, and without Cooper, he may not lead the Browns to many points, which in turn, would benefit anyone who picks up Cincinnati's defense.
Ray Davis
No one expected the impact Ray Davis made on Monday night in place of the injured James Cook.
Buffalo's rookie running back ran for 97 yards and earned 55 more yards through the air.
Cook's status will obviously dictate Davis' production for the rest of the season, but if Buffalo's starter is out again in Week 7, Davis will be a popular starter despite the matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
Cook was close to playing on Monday, so Davis may not have a ton of fantasy value in the near future, but he has to be added as an insurance policy at running back in case his touches alongside Cook increase as the season goes on.

Justin Fields
The Steelers' quarterback change led to Justin Fields being one of the most dropped individuals in fantasy football leagues.
Fields was a mid-tier fantasy quarterback to begin with, so it makes no sense for any fantasy football player to keep him on the roster moving forward.
Russell Wilson's impending start in Week 7 does not make him an instant start in fantasy circles, though, because he is an unknown quantity.
Wilson is coming off a calf injury and does not have many in-game reps with George Pickens and the other Steelers pass-catchers.
There's a strong chance that no one rosters a Steelers quarterback for at least the next few weeks until Wilson proves he can put up decent totals.
Trey Sermon
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that his ankle is feeling better.
Taylor returned to practice on Tuesday, which is a good sign for fantasy players that drafted him high this season.
That's also bad news for Trey Sermon's fantasy stock. He does not have much value if Taylor is out on the field.
Sermon wasn't too effective in the last two weeks, as he failed to reach the 40-yard mark against the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. He scored a touchdown against the Jags, but he was not in the top tier of running back scoring.
Taylor had four touchdowns and three straight games with 80+ rushing yards before he went down with an ankle injury.
