Fantasy Football Big Board: Complete 2024 PPR Player Rankings Entering Week 7
Hard though it may be to believe, we are already almost halfway through the fantasy football regular season.
What a year it's been.
That Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens is the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback isn't all that surprising. That the two quarterbacks just behind him are Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rookie Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders is another story.
The top five running backs are four of the usual suspects...and Chuba Hubbard of the Carolina Panthers. A gonzo Week 6 has vaulted Chris Godwin of the Buccaneers into the top spot at wide receiver. Tucker Kraft of the Green Bay Packers and Isaiah Likely of the Ravens are top-five tight ends.
As it always is, fantasy football is a topsy-turvy tilt-a-whirl that can give you vertigo in a hot second.
This column is your Dramamine—a stabilizing agent in the form of position-by-position PPR rankings, some matchups to target and avoid and a look at the top 100 players overall for Week 7.
Quarterbacks
1 of 6
Apparently, someone forgot to tell this year's class of rookie quarterbacks that it takes time to acclimate to the NFL.
Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders has been a productive fantasy asset from the jump. After throwing for 269 yards and two scores and adding another 22 yards on the ground, Daniels has produced at least 19 fantasy points in five of his six starts. He's a top-five fantasy quarterback at this point in the season and has more fantasy points than Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.
No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams took a bit more time to get his sea legs under him. But Williams' 284 passing yards, 56 rushing yards and four touchdown passes made the Chicago Bears signal-caller the No. 1 fantasy quarterback in Week 5.
Even Drake Maye of the New England Patriots got in on the action—in his first NFL start, Maye's 243 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Houston Texans landed the third overall pick on the fringes of QB1 territory in 12-team leagues.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. BAL) [DraftKIngs DFS Value: $6,600]
Mayfield is one of this year's biggest surprises at the quarterback position, as he leads the NFL with his 15 passing touchdowns through six weeks. Now Mayfield faces a Ravens defense that has struggled against the pass, allowing 275.7 yards per game through the air—second-most in the NFL.
Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks (at ATL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,800]
Smith has topped 300 passing yards in half of his games this season, and the 34-year-old's 1,778 passing yards pace the NFL. The Seahawks should have success through the air this week against an Atlanta pass defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
BAD MATCHUPS
Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (vs. MIA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
Fantasy managers with Richardson on the roster are no doubt hoping he makes his return in Week 7 after being a late scratch in Week 6. But whether it's Richardson or Joe Flacco under center, they will have to contend with a Miami pass defense that is giving up less than 160 passing yards per game.
Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. NYJ) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,400]
This is one of the worst ideas Mike Tomlin has ever had. Not only are you throwing an aging, rusty quarterback out there who hasn't played in a game that counts this season, but you're doing it against a desperate Jets team allowing the third-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
SLEEPER
Andy Dalton, Carolina Panthers (at Washington) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,200]
Dalton isn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard, but he does have over 200 passing yards and multiple touchdown passes in three of his four starts this season. The Commanders were just carved up through the air by Lamar Jackson, and it isn't the first time Washington's leaky secondary has been lit up in 2024.

Running Backs
2 of 6
We knew it was going to happen. Injuries are a part of the NFL—and fantasy football. That's especially true at running back, which is usually the hardest-hit position. At some point, those injuries were going to start adding up.
It might have been nice if they didn't happen in one big deluge, though.
In Week 6, Jonathan Taylor (ankle) of the Indianapolis Colts, Zamir White (groin) of the Las Vegas Raiders, Brian Robinson Jr. (knee) of the Washington Commanders, Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) of the New England Patriots, James Cook of the Buffalo Bills and Devin Singletary (groin) of the New York Giants were all inactive. Aaron Jones (hip) of the Minnesota Vikings would have been, too, were the Vikings not on bye.
But wait, there's more!
Travis Etienne (hamstring) of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jerome Ford (hamstring) of the Cleveland Browns and Jordan Mason (shoulder) of the San Francisco 49ers all left their Week 6 matchups early.
We'll update these rankings Friday in the hopes that some of these backs will be able to play. But there are a lot of short-handed fantasy squads in Week 7.
There is a bit of good news, though, as Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns is tentatively expected to see his first game action of the 2024 campaign this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Brian Robinson Jr., Washington Commanders (vs. CAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,400}
After limited practices all week, Robinson appears to be on track to play Sunday against a terrible Panthers run defense. In five games, Robinson has surpassed 100 rushing yards twice and has found the end zone in every contest save one.
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (at BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,300]
Pollard has been a rare fantasy bright spot on a dismal Titans offense. He's a top-20 fantasy running in terms of PPR points per game. This week, Pollard draws a Buffalo Bills defense that has allowed more PPR fantasy points per game to running backs than any team in the AFC.
BAD MATCHUPS
Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers (vs. KC) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,600]
Guerendo was solid in place of an injured Jordan Mason a week ago, racking up 99 yards on just 10 carries. The Niners will no doubt attempt to establish the run, but no team in the NFL has been stingier to opposing running backs from a fantasy perspective than the Chiefs. If Mason plays, we'll likely see a full-on committee attack in the backfield.
David Montgomery, Detroit Lions (at MIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,600]
Given all the injuries at running back and how productive both Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have been on the ground this season, they are next to impossible for fantasy managers to sit. But the Vikings have been one of the stoutest run defenses in the league this season, surrendering just 67.2 yards per game.
SLEEPER
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (vs. SEA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100]
Much to the chagrin of Bijan Robinson managers, Allgeier remains a significant part of the Falcons offense—he had 18 carries for 105 yards and a score last week against the Carolina Panthers. Look for the Falcons to use another run-heavy game plan this week against a Seattle team that allowed 228 yards on the ground a week ago.
WEEK 7 RUNNING BACK RANKINGS

2. Kenneth Walker Jr., SEA (at ATL)

Wide Receivers
3 of 6
Fantasy football was rocked Tuesday by the blockbuster deals that sent Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills and Davante Adams to the New York Jets.
Calvin Ridley might well be wishing his phone would ring too.
In the offseason, the Tennessee Titans signed Ridley to a four-year, $92 million contract to become the team's No. 1 wide receiver.
Ridley has two catches for 14 yards over the past three games...combined.
After going a whole game without catching a pass for the first time since 2020, a clearly frustrated Ridley didn't hold back while talking to reporters.
"I need some (targets) in the beginning of the f--king game, too," Ridley said. "This s--t is getting crazy. I sucked today and got to do better. But I got to get the ball a little earlier so I can be in the game and here with the team and play well also."
Sunday's loss to the Colts marked the first time an NFL wideout was targeted eight times without a single catch since 2015. DeAndre Hopkins has just 14 catches for 175 yards for the season, while Ridley's numbers are even worse—nine catches for 141 yards and one score.
There are over a dozen pass-catchers in the NFL who have better numbers on their own than Hopkins and Ridley have put together. It's possible Ridley will get the old "squeaky wheel" treatment in Week 7, but only New England's passing attack has been more pitiful this season than Tennessee's.
There's just no fantasy upside there. Ridley and Hopkins have been relegated to WR4 territory, and even that may be wishful thinking.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (vs. DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600]
It has been a quiet season so far for Addison, who missed time with a sprained ankle and hasn't caught more than three passes in a game this year. But between Aaron Jones likely being out and Detroit's stout run defense, if the Vikings are going to stay undefeated it will be because of Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson, Addison and the passing attack.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions (at MIN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000]
It rather goes without saying that Amon-Ra St. Brown is an every-week start (that's some hard-hitting analysis), but Williams could also post a big Week 7 line against a Minnesota defense leading the league in PPR points per game given up to wide receivers.
BAD MATCHUPS
Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (vs. MIA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,700]
There's more than one thing working against Downs this week. The Colts passing game is hard to trust if Anthony Richardson returns, and the Dolphins are a poor fantasy matchup for wide receivers—only two teams have surrendered fewer PPR points per game to the position.
George Pickens, Pittsburgh Steelers (at New York Jets) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,800]
It has been a rough season for Pickens, who has reportedly clashed with coaches and just drew a $10,000 fine from the NFL for a uniform violation. Things likely won't get better Sunday night against Sauce Gardner and a stout Jets pass defense.
SLEEPER
Darius Slayton, New York Giants (vs. PHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100]
Slayton has been a much bigger part of the Giants offense with Malik Nabers (concussion) on the shelf, catching 14 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown over the past two weeks. But even with Nabers back in the lineup, Slayton could still be a sneaky play in a game with a beatable Eagles secondary where the Giants will have to throw to have a chance at the win.
WEEK 7 WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS
1. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (at CLE)
2. Justin Jefferson, MIN (vs. DET)
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (at MIN)

Tight Ends
4 of 6
Good news has been in short supply at the tight end position this season. So, it was good to see a couple of big names make appearances on the fantasy leaderboard.
After spending much of the season on a milk carton, veteran Mark Andrews had his best game of the season in last week's win over the Washington Commanders, following up four grabs for 55 yards in Week 5 with three receptions for 66 yards and his first touchdown of the season.
The score tied Todd Heap for the most scoring grabs in franchise history, and he told reporters it felt good to find the end zone for the first time since last October,
"It feels great," Andrew said of breaking the record. "When you get something like that you should credit your teammates. I'm blessed and fortunate to have a quarterback like that and teammates that surround me. We just want to continue to keep things going, to be patient, and good things will happen."
Meanwhile in London, Evan Engram of the Jacksonville Jaguars made his first appearance since hurting himself in pre-game warmups in Week 2. And what an appearance it was—10 targets, an equal number of catches and 102 yards.
So, this is what it feels like to have tight ends actually score points.
It's nice.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders (at LAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,800]
At this point in another miserable season for the Raiders, Bowers may well be the best offensive weapon the team has. He could have a huge game against a Los Angeles Rams defense allowing the third-most PPR points per game to tight ends in 2024.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (vs. SEA) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,500]
Putting too much trust in Pitts makes this analyst nervous—his target share seemingly evaporates for no discernible reason in some games. But Pitts has posted back-to-back games with double-digit PPR points, and the Seahawks have surrendered the sixth-most PPR points per game to tight ends this season.
BAD MATCHUPS
Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills (vs. TEN) [DraftKings DFS Value $5,000]
It's been an up-and-down season for Kincaid and the Buffalo passing attack this season. Unfortunately, Week 7 sets up as a "down" game for the third-year pro. Again, Tennessee's defense has played well this season, allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game in the league this year.
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (vs. HOU) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,600]
After a monstrous, two-touchdown effort in Week 5, Kraft came crashing back to Earth last week, managing just two catches for 13 yards. Now he and the Packers host a Houston Texans team that ranks in the bottom five in PPR points per game surrendered to tight ends through six weeks.
SLEEPER
Jonnu Smith, Miami Dolphins (at IND) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,700]
Smith has two games with over 11 PPR points, and three disappearing acts. Smith is admittedly a feast/famine fantasy play, especially with Tyler Huntley at quarterback. But the Colts have been generous to opposing tight ends this year, giving up the fourth-most PPR points to the position. As desperation plays go, you could do worse.
WEEK 7 TIGHT END RANKINGS
1. Travis Kelce, KC (at SF)
2. George Kittle, SF (vs. KC)
3. Brock Bowers, LV (at LAR)
4. Evan Engram, JAC (vs. NE)
5. Trey McBride, ARI (vs. LAC)
6. Sam LaPorta, DET (at MIN)
7. Kyle Pitts, ATL (vs. SEA)
8. Dalton Kincaid, BUF (vs. TEN)
9. Tucker Kraft, GB (vs. HOU)
10. Pat Freiermuth, PIT (vs. NYJ)
11. David Njoku, CLE (vs. CIN)

30. Grant Calcaterra, PHI (at NYG)
Kickers and Team Defenses
5 of 6
Kickers are people too—or so I keep hearing. So occasionally I like to spotlight one who is quietly doing his job at an elite level.
There aren't many kickers with endorsement deals.
But maybe Cameron Dicker of the Los Angeles Chargers should get one. Because "Dicker the Kicker" is about as automatic as you can get—at least from less than 50 yards out.
In his two-plus seasons in the NFL, Dicker has attempted 53 field goals from less than 50 yards out and he has made all 53 kicks. Dicker hasn't been perfect from farther out, but his nine successes in 13 attempts (with a long of 55) are nothing to sneeze at. Neither is his career success rate of 93.9 percent.
Dicker isn't an every-week play, but when the matchup is right, he's a solid streaming option—such as in Week 7 against an Arizona defense struggling mightily of late.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks (at ATL)
Myers hasn't been as productive in 2024 as in the past couple of seasons. But Week 7 sets up well for the 33-year-old. The Falcons have played a lot of bend but don't break defense, and as a result no team in the league has given up more fantasy points to kickers.
Buffalo Bills Defense (vs. TEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,500]
The Bills have been solid defensively this season despite dealing with more than a few injuries, but this matchup is all about just that—the matchup. The Titans have been abysmal offensively in 2024—the team is 31st in both total offense and passing offense and ranks toward the top of the NFL in both giveaways and fantasy points allowed to defenses.
BAD MATCHUPS
Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals (vs. LAC)
The good news with Matt Prater is that the veteran hasn't missed a field goal all season long. The bad news is that Prater only has six attempts for the season. That's a woefully low number ahead of a matchup with a Cardinals team giving up less than five fantasy points per game to kickers this year.
Minnesota Vikings Defense (vs. DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,900]
How good have the Vikings been for fantasy managers this season? Well, Minnesota is the highest-scoring fantasy defense after six weeks—despite having played just five games. But the Lions have been an offensive buzzsaw of late, scoring 40-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1962.
SLEEPER
Las Vegas Raiders Defense (at LAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $2,700]
If you have watched the Raiders play defense of late then you are probably giving this writer the "Really?" look, because Vegas has been, um, bad. But this is still a team with Maxx Crosby on the roster going up against an injury-blasted Rams team that has struggled protecting Matthew Stafford this season.

Top 100 Overall/"Flex" Rankings
6 of 6
Before we hit the top 100 players overall for PPR fantasy football leagues in Week 7, it's time for everyone's favorite—notes and caveats!
Please hold applause to the end.
The caveat is the same as always. No quarterbacks are included here. If your fantasy league has a "superflex" spot and you have a decent second quarterback, put him in that spot. If your second quarterback is Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans...um...don't.
In fact, check your waiver wire. Gotta be something better out there.
There are two teams on a bye in Week 7—the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys. Fantasy managers of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams aren't happy about this fact. Fantasy managers of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott?
We won't talk about that.
Finally, we're working our way toward the halfway point of the 2024 fantasy regular season. It's great if you are 5-1. Rotten if you are 1-5. But the vast majority of teams are somewhere between 2-4 and 4-2. There's still plenty of time to turn things around—or for things to fall apart. You just have to keep grinding. Keep hitting the waiver wire. Keep making trade offers.
Hey, if it's good enough for Buffalo and the Jets...
And then with the aid of these rankings, hopefully set a winning lineup for Week 7.
