NFL Rumors: Fox Rejects Netflix Request for Tom Brady to Announce Christmas Games
Netflix is streaming a pair of NFL games on Christmas this season, with the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans on that slate.
They won't have Tom Brady calling either contest, however.
According to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, Netflix's request to have the duo of Brady and play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt call one of the games was rejected by Fox Sports.

Netflix reportedly will target Ian Eagle and Nate Burleson from CBS Sports, Noah Eagle from NBC Sports and Greg Olsen from Fox Sports for its Christmas broadcasts, though "no deals have been finalized," per that report.
CBS Sports is producing the games for Netflix as a third party, according to Glasspiegel, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ian Eagle and Burleson loaned to the streaming giant. Whether NBC Sports and Fox Sports would allow their on-air talent to take the gig remains to be seen, though a source told the New York Post that Fox was "contemplating" the arrangement for Olson, who was Fox's top color commentator last season before Brady was brought aboard.
As for the transition from the playing field to media for the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend, it's been a bit choppy, with Brady earning mixed reviews after three weeks of the regular season:
Brady is only three games in, of course, and has been immediately thrown into the fire on the top broadcast team for Fox. He has the sort of football knowledge that should make him excellent at the job once he finds a groove, though to this point, he's played it pretty safe.
NFL viewers are ready for a bit more depth from the future Hall of Famer.
