Week 4 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet: Deep Sleepers to Grab on Waiver Wire
As we head into Week 4, injuries continued to impact the fantasy landscape. Standouts like Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, Jordan Love and David Njoku all missed Week 3 with injuries, while a few more fantasy stars exited.
Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith and Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler were both ruled out with concussions. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert exited with a high ankle sprain.
In addition to the injury bug, managers will soon have to worry about byes, which will begin in Week 5. Those who don't need replacements now should still be scouring the waiver wire for fantasy depth.
Here, you'll find a look at some deep sleepers to consider in Week 4, along with updated flex rankings for the upcoming slate.
All rankings and analysis are based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.

Sleeper: RB Braelon Allen, New York Jets
2 of 4
Breece Hall remains the top New York Jets running back in fantasy because of his PPR floor. The third-year back has averaged a modest 3.7 yards per carry this season but has 16 receptions, 290 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns through three games.
However, rookie Braelon Allen is beginning to emerge as a significant piece of the offensive game plan. He's averaging 5.1 yards per rush, carried 11 times in Week 3 and has already found the end zone twice.
While Allen is unlikely to overtake Hall as the starter, his efficiency on the ground could cement him into something close to a 50-50 split.
This is a good week to test Allen as a flex starter. The Jets will host the Denver Broncos, who have a strong secondary but have been susceptible to the run. Denver has only allowed the 15th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs but ranks 21st in rushing yards allowed.
Allen is only rostered in 49 percent of Yahoo leagues and 42 percent of ESPN leagues.
Sleepers: WR Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers
3 of 4
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love may or may not return from his MCL injury to face the Minnesota Vikings this week. He returned to practice on a limited basis last week, but the Packers started (and won with) Malik Willis for the second consecutive game.
Regardless of Love's status, wideout Romeo Doubs is worth scooping up while he's available. Doubs only had one reception in Week 3 but had four catches for 50 yards when Love was under center in Week 1.
Doubs also had three catches for 67 yards in Week 2, showing that he's not entirely Love-dependent—though he's certainly more of a boom-bust option with Willis under center.
While Doubs isn't entering the best situation this week—the Vikings have allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers—he can be a strong flex fill-in during upcoming byes. The 24-year-old had multiple receptions in 15 of 17 games last season and tallied eight touchdowns.
Doubs is rostered in 41 percent of Yahoo leagues but only 25 percent of ESPN leagues.
Sleeper: TE Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
4 of 4
Tight end Mike Gescki has had some strong numbers over the last couple of weeks but projects as a boom-or-bust option moving forward.
Receiver Tee Higgins is back in the mix for the Cincinnati Bengals, who have also been using a committee approach to the tight end position. Drew Sample, Tanner Hudson and rookie Erick All have each recorded receptions this season.
Gesicki and All each had four catches during Monday's loss to the Washington Commanders—though Gesicki led the position group with 47 receiving yards.
In the right situations, though, Gesicki can have value. The 28-year-old had seven catches for 91 yards in Week 2 and has a pair of favorable matchups on the upcoming schedule. Cincinnati will visit the Carolina Panthers this week before hosting the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.
The Panthers and Ravens have allowed the third- and second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, respectively this season.
Gesicki is rostered in 44 percent of Yahoo leagues and 35 percent of ESPN leagues.
