Presidents Cup 2024: Tee Times, Uniforms, Betting Odds and Predictions
This weekend, teams representing the Unites Stated and international players will face off in the 15th iteration of the Presidents Cup.
While the team event doesn't quite hold the prestige of the Ryder Cup—and has been heavily dominated by U.S. teams—it's still a thrilling event for golf fans and features some of the sport's biggest stars.
This year, the U.S. Team, captained by Jim Furyk, and the International Team, captained by Mike Weir, will battle at the historic Royal Montreal Golf Club. This will mark the first time Royal Montreal has hosted the Presidents Cup since the 2007 tournament.
The United States holds a 12-1-1 record in this team event, and two years ago, the U.S. Team recorded a five-point victory over the International Team. There could be some drama, however, as the U.S. Team suffered a decisive loss to the Europeans in last year's Ryder Cup.
The action is set to kick off on Thursday. Here's a look at everything you need to know.

Uniforms

As is the case with the Ryder Cup and the Olympics, the unveiling of uniforms is an exciting part of the lead-up to the Presidents Cup.
This year, all players, caddies and staff will be outfitted by B. Draddy and Zero Restriction, two prominent golf and sporting apparel brands. Both B. Draddy and Zero Restriction are part of Summit Golf Brands, which unveiled the Presidents Cup uniforms back in July.
Naturally, the U.S. Team uniforms will feature a red, white and blue motif, while the International Team will sport a black-and-yellow color combo.
Both teams will be provided with polo shirts, pants, hats, golf sweaters, jackets and rain gear. A few subtle team-specific elements will highlight the uniforms.
"We were able to incorporate some elements into the design to help represent our passionate host country for 2024," Weir said, per PresidentsCup.com.
While polo shirts and slacks are the go-to ensemble for golfers, the late-September Canadian weather may cause competitors to switch to heavier gear, especially in the evening. Fortunately, B. Draddy and Zero Restriction have everyone covered.
Preview and Prediction

For those unfamiliar with the Presidents Cup, it's not entirely dissimilar to the Ryder Cup. Both tournaments feature foursome, fourball and singles matches. While the Ryder Cup is a three-day event, however, the Presidents Cup will be spread across four days.
Things will kick off with five foursome matches on Thursday, followed by five fourball matches on Friday. Saturday's schedule will feature four foursome and four fourball matches, while Sunday's slate will involve 12 singles matches.
Presidents Cup tournaments have traditionally been closer at international venues than on American soil, though Montreal should provide a fairly familiar environment for the U.S. Team. The city is close the the United States' northern border and resides in the Eastern Time Zone.
Conditions should be much more familiar to the Americans than they were during, say, the 2019 tournament in Melbourne, Australia—which the U.S. Team only won by two points.
Further shifting the odds in the favor of the U.S. Team is the fact that it will feature three of the top four golfers in the World Golf Rankings—Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa.
Wyndham Clark and Patrick Cantlay are also ranked inside the top 10 and will represent the U.S. Team. Hideki Matsuyama is the world's top-ranked golfer on this year's International Team, though Jason Day, Sungjae Im, Adam Scott, Tom Kim and others will make for a formidable squad.
Team play, of course, will be the theme for most of the weekend. That means that neither team can rely solely on individual talent. Scheffler, for example, is the top-ranked golfer in the world but sports a 2-5-4 record in Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup play.
Experience could also give the International Team an edge. Scott has appeared in a whopping 10 Presidents Cups, while no member of the U.S. Team has appeared in more than two. The U.S. Team also has four Presidents Cup rookies, while Mackenzie Hughes and Min Woo Lee are the only newcomers for the International Team.
Still, the Americans are favorites for a reason. They tend to dominate this even more often than not. The prediction here is that the U.S. Team wins by at least three points with Schauffele—making his third Presidents Cup appearance—leading the way as the top individual scorer.
