Seahawks' Macdonald 'Optimistic' Kenneth Walker III Will Return from Injury in Week 4
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III may not be able to suit up on Sunday, but he shouldn't be sidelined much longer than that.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that he's "very optimistic" Walker will be able to return in Week 4, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.
Walker missed Seattle's overtime win over the New England Patriots in Week 2 due to an oblique injury and is currently listed as doubtful for the team's upcoming clash with the Miami Dolphins.

The 23-year-old was able to get some work in on Friday, as he was a limited participant in practice for the first time since he suffered the injury in Week 1.
"Progress," Macdonald said, via Henderson. "Not looking great right now for the game with Ken Walker, but he's working his tail off, getting better."
Walker previously missed two games during the 2023 season due to an oblique issue.
When he's been healthy, the former Michigan State standout has shown why the Seahawks selected him with a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. He amassed 1,050 rush yards and nine touchdowns in his first year, finishing No. 2 in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
His individual production dipped slightly in his sophomore campaign, recording 905 yards and eight rushing touchdowns. Walker made strides as a receiver, racking up 259 yards through the air compared to 165 as a rookie.
He appeared to be in line for an improved 2024 campaign, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in Week 1.
The Seahawks have started 2-0 for the first time since 2020, recording wins over the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots to open the season. Walker's possible return in Week 4 could come at a perfect time, as Seattle is set to face off against a Detroit Lions team that made an appearance in the NFC Championship Game last season.
In the meantime, Zach Charbonnet is expected to see an increased role in the backfield once again on Sunday.
