Jason Kelce: Eagles Will Get 'Tush Push' Play 'Back on Track' After Week 1 Struggles
The Philadelphia Eagles opened the season with a win over the Green Bay Packers last Friday, but they did so without the success of their most famous play.
The famed "Tush Push" wasn't as effective for the Eagles as it was last season when future Hall-of-Fame center Jason Kelce was paving the way for star quarterback Jalen Hurts.
During this week's episode of the New Heights podcast (1:07:48 mark), Kelce discussed the play with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and revealed that it's not as easy as the Eagles made it look in 2023 when they converted the play at a success rate of 92 percent.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
"I don't know that I am the determining factor in the success of this," Jason Kelce said. "I think, first of all, it's a really hard play to run when a lot of guys are running it for the first time. Once you've run it a couple times, you know how to run quarterback sneak, you get into a rhythm and you understand how it's gonna happen."
Following Kelce's retirement, the Eagles replaced him at center with Cam Jurgens, a 2022 second-round pick who began his career at guard. He struggled to get on the same page with Hurts in their first game together, as he had two botched snaps, one of which was recovered by the Packers.
Still, Kelce said he's confident that with more reps of the "Tush Push," the Eagles will be able to return to their usual form of dominating in the trenches.
"I do think they're gonna get back on track," he said. "It's just a play that I think the more you run, and when you really execute on it properly, I do not think that it's something that's not gonna work at a high success rate."
