NFL's J.C. Jackson Suspended 1 Game for Violation of Personal Conduct Policy
Free agent cornerback J.C. Jackson has been suspended for one regular-season game for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday.
Jackson is still eligible to sign with a team and participate in the preseason, Schefter noted.

Jackson made 28 total tackles and one interception for the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots in 2023. The Patriots released Jackson in March.
Jackson had an arrest warrant issued for him in Massachusetts last September after he failed to appear for a court hearing, which related to reckless driving and speeding charges from 2021, Joe Reedy previously reported for the Associated Press.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported after Jackson's March release that he and the Patriots could have "mutual interest" in a return to New England, but the cornerback has yet to sign with any team this summer.
Jackson originally signed with the Patriots in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland and played the first four seasons of his NFL career in New England.
He is two years removed from the five-year, $82.5 million deal he signed with the Chargers during the 2022 offseason.
At the time he was coming off his 2021 Pro Bowl campaign with the Patriots, during which he led the NFL with 23 passes defensed.
But Jackson only ended up playing seven games with the Chargers after inking that deal. The cornerback struggled early in the 2022 campaign before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 7.
He came back in 2023 only to fall out of favor with Chargers leadership, who benched him for two games prior to his midseason trade to the Patriots.
Jackson fell out of the starting Patriots' starting lineup in November after reportedly missing team curfew, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported.
He was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list in December and did not play during the last four games of the Patriots' season. His agent cited "mental health issues" as the reason his absence, per Reiss.
If he comes back to join another NFL roster this fall, Jackson will now have to wait until Week 2 of the regular season to return to the field.
