NFL Rumors: Seahawks' Geno Smith 'Shouldn't Miss Any Time' Despite Knee, Hip Injuries
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith "shouldn't miss any time" despite being sidelined for two practices with knee and hip injuries, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Tests on the injuries "did not reveal anything significant," Schefter reported.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald previously said Smith "got banged up a little bit" during Tuesday's practice, per ESPN's Brady Henderson.
The Seahawks' preseason begins Aug. 10, but Smith has more than a month to get healthy before his team opens the regular season against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 8.
Gregg Bell reported for the Tacoma News Tribune that a source said Smith is not expected "to miss any real time beyond perhaps another practice or two."
Bell previously reported that Smith originally had his knee and hip looked at after taking "an inadvertent hit" from a defensive teammate during a Tuesday 11-on-11 scrimmage, during which he was not meant to take contact.
Smith finished Tuesday's practice but was "favoring his leg" after the hit, Bell reported.
Smith made an appearance at Thursday's practice but was not dressed to participate, per Bell and Henderson. In his absence, Sam Howell took over at quarterback.
Howell made 17 starts for the Washington Commanders last season, where he posted a 4-13 record while leading the NFL with 21 interceptions.
Although Seahawks general manager John Schneider made it clear that Howell was joining the team as a backup for Smith, and not a competitor for his starting job, it looks like Howell will be the one practicing with Seattle's top offensive unit under new coordinator Ryan Grubb for at least one more day.
P.J. Walker, meanwhile, will serve as backup behind Howell. The 29-year-old quarterback most recently filled in for an injured Deshaun Watson in Cleveland.
Smith, who is coming out of two straight Pro Bowl seasons, threw for 3,624 yards with 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions last season as the Seahawks missed the playoffs.
