MLB Trade Rumors: Teams Have 'a Lot of Frustration with the High Asking Prices'
As the MLB trade deadline looms, teams have reportedly found it difficult to make the deals they want.
ESPN's Buster Olney reported Monday that teams have grown frustrated with "the high asking prices of the dealers" and the lack of players available at the deadline.
While several teams have addressed specific needs and added some firepower to their rosters, other teams are struggling to make any big moves as Tuesday's deadline approaches.

There have been very few stars dealt at this year's deadline and while that might change before Tuesday, high asking prices might be why no teams add a major needle-mover.
One of the hottest items at this year's deadline has been relievers, and they have also come with a high asking price. Per The Athletic's Patrick Mooney, Will Sammon and Katie Woo, a team official revealed what teams are looking for to give up their relievers.
"It's multiple prospects for bullpen rentals right now," the team official said.
That favors teams like the Miami Marlins, who possess one of the best closers in the game in Tanner Scott. With the Marlins, who sit at the bottom of the NL East, being sellers at this year's deadline, they have the chance to build for the future if a team is desperate enough to add Scott.
Whether Scott or other big-name relievers will be traded at the deadline will be revealed in less than 24 hours, but for now, teams will hope asking prices will fall as the trading window ends.
