Warriors Rumors: Andrew Wiggins to Be Shopped in Trade Talks amid Chris Paul Buzz
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly attempting to trade Andrew Wiggins this offseason on the heels of his career-worst statistical season.
According to Logan Murdock of The Ringer, league sources believe Wiggins will be "aggressively dangled" in trade talks this summer.
Murdock also reported that the Warriors are trying to find a landing spot for veteran point guard Chris Paul, who has a non-guaranteed $30 million salary for next season, although his salary becomes fully guaranteed Friday unless the two sides agree to delay it.

Finding a taker for Wiggins could prove to be a difficult endeavor since he has at least two years remaining on his contract at an average annual value of about $27.2 million, plus a $30.1 million player option for 2026-27.
If Wiggins was a 20-point-per-game player he was earlier in his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, that salary could be justified, but his play last season suggests he is perhaps little more than a role player.
Over his first four seasons with the Warriors, Wiggins was a productive complement to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, averaging nearly 19 points per game, and helping them win a championship in 2022.
However, Wiggins played a career-low 27 minutes per game last season and came off the bench at times for the first time in his career.
He also averaged a career-low 13.2 points, 1.7 assists and 0.6 steals per game to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers made.
With Jonathan Kuminga taking on a bigger role last season and Brandin Podziemski being a key part of the rotation as a rookie, Wiggins was an odd man out at times.
Considering the Warriors went 46-36 and failed to reach the playoffs, this offseason could represent the perfect opportunity to reshape the roster by trading Wiggins and Paul, and potentially even letting Thompson leave in free agency.
Curry is still a superstar and Draymond Green remains a useful player, but the Warriors' best chance of extending their window as a championship contender may be leaning more heavily on young players like Kuminga, Podziemski, Moses Moody, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Co.
The 29-year-old Wiggins could potentially be attractive to a contending team since he was an important player for a championship squad just a couple of years ago, but he will be a tough sell because of his contract.
