Commanders' Jayden Daniels: I'm Not a 'Star Quarterback' Yet, I'm a Rookie
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels enters the NFL with a tremendous amount of hype after winning the Heisman Trophy last year and getting selected with the No. 2 overall pick, but he's staying grounded despite an impressive offseason thus far.
Daniels has received positive remarks thus far, perhaps most notably from star wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
"He's humble, but he's confident in his ability," McLaurin said per the Commanders' website. "He's played at the highest level. He's played against really good competition, and he knows that he can make all the throws. He's not putting the cart before the horse. He's literally taking this thing day-by-day."
Right tackle Andrew Wylie has also heaped praise.
"Dude can sling it, man," Wylie said, per ESPN's John Keim. "He makes it look easy; something about his game is just special. ... He is smiling, calling plays, making sure everyone's on the same page, and it's a special way that he commands the huddle and the respect of the group. I know it's early, but I'm excited blocking for him."
The pressure is on Daniels, who comes to a team that hasn't won a playoff game since 2005 or reached the NFC Championship Game since 1991, the last time the team won the Super Bowl. But on the field, he's fared well. And off the field, he's saying and doing all the right things as Washington looks to embark on a new era with him taking the reins.
