After starring collegiately at Kentucky, the Rockets made him the No. 14 overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft.
Patterson was mostly a solid defensive player off the bench during his NBA career, starting just 104 of the 719 regular-season games he appeared in.
He also averaged 6.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 20.8 minutes per contest, and he shot 44.7 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from three-point range.
