Per Noah Camras of Dodgers Nation, Dodgers CEO Stan Kasten and L.A. president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman were also present.
The two-time American League MVP and ex-L.A. Angel understandably arrived on scene with a tremendous amount of hype, as partially evidenced by how many people watched his introductory Dodger press conference.
Ohtani has been sensational since signing a $700 million contract with the Dodgers last December, leading the majors with a .360 batting average, 1.099 OPS and 63 hits. His 12 home runs also pace the National League.
The Dodgers have excelled with him leading the way offensively, going 29-17 and comfortably leading the NL West by seven games heading into Friday.
Ohtani and the Dodgers will look to deliver a home victory on Shohei Ohtani Day when they host the Cincinnati Reds on Friday at 7:10 p.m. ET.
