Free Agents Browns Should Pursue After 2024 NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns brought in a decent amount of depth throughout the NFL offseason.
Kevin Stefanski and his staff should feel comfortable about the roster heading into training camp, but there are always one or two more additions that could be made.
Cleveland likely will not add any more flashy playmakers. It started the offseason with the Jerry Jeudy trade with the Denver Broncos.
Any remaining additions should come to fill out depth on defense, or to give skill-position players a chance to compete for one of the final spots on the 53-man roster.
Shaquille Leonard

Shaquille Leonard could be a solid addition to the Browns' linebacker corps.
The former Indianapolis Colts linebacker is coming off a down year in which he recorded 88 tackles between the AFC South franchise and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Leonard's impact was not felt as much as it could have been in Philadelphia, but his arrival coincided with the team's overall drop off.
The Browns could benefit from adding a veteran linebacker to backup Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Jordan Hicks.
After all, the Browns front seven usually experiences more wear and tear than other units because of the run-heavy styles in the AFC North.
Zach Cunningham

Zach Cunningham fits the same mold as Leonard to help the Browns.
The veteran linebacker had 85 tackles in a full season with Philadelphia last year, but his status on the free-agent market may be affected by the Eagles' dreadful finish to the 2023 campaign.
Cunningham is only 30 and owns five seasons with at least 90 tackles and four campaigns with at least five tackles for loss.
He could be a useful part of the Browns defense in the AFC North battles with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, who both could run the ball a ton yet again in 2024.
A one-year deal for Leonard or Cunningham would be good business for the Browns as they look to shore up every position on the depth chart before training camp.
Logan Thomas

The Browns may not need tight end help with David Njoku and Jordan Akins on the roster, but Logan Thomas is a fascinating name to bring in for training camp.
Injuries ravaged Thomas' career over the last few seasons with the Washington Commanders.
Thomas probably is not close to his season-best numbers from 2020. He had 72 receptions, 670 yards and six touchdowns in that campaign.
However, if he is healthy, he could be a decent second or third option for the Browns offense across the middle.
Cleveland does not have a ton of big-bodied wide receivers, so the pressure is on Njoku to thrive across the middle.
Akins is used more in blocking and red-zone situations. There could still be a roster spot for him if Thomas is signed.
The Browns have to make sure Thomas' body will hold up for a season before taking a risk, even with a one-year contract.
