Report: Bill Belichick, Peyton Manning's Company to Land Contract for NFL Analysis
In the wake of former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick failing to land a head coaching job this offseason, he is reportedly set to try his hand at being an analyst.
According to ESPN's Don Van Natta Jr., Seth Wickersham and Jeremy Fowler, Belichick is expected to "sign a deal to do analysis" with Omaha Productions in the coming weeks.
Omaha Productions is owned by legendary Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, and it produces the "ManningCast" on ESPN, which features Peyton and Eli Manning commentating and breaking down Monday Night Football games throughout the NFL season.

It is unclear if Belichick would have any involvement with the ManningCast or if he would do something else, but given his status as the only six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach in NFL history, Belichick would likely bring credibility to any role.
Over the course of 24 seasons as head coach of the Patriots, Belichick reached the Super Bowl nine times, winning six of them. He was also a three-time NFL Coach of the Year during his tenure.
When factoring in his five seasons as head coach of the Cleveland Browns, Belichick has 302 career regular-season coaching wins, which is third on the all-time list. Adding in 31 playoff wins gives him 333 total wins, placing him behind only Don Shula's 347.
Despite all of his success, Belichick and the Patriots parted ways following the 2023 season, as New England posted a 4-13 record, which was its worst mark under Belichick.
The Pats missed the playoffs in three of the past four seasons, ending what was an otherwise remarkable run in New England on a sour note.
Shockingly, no team hired Belichick to be their new head coach during the offseason, meaning Belichick will not coach in some capacity in the NFL this season for the first time since 1975.
Providing analysis for Omaha Productions will still allow Belichick to impart his expertise, but he is reportedly only viewing it as a temporary situation.
Per Van Natta, Wickersham and Fowler, Belichick is believed to be "biding his time" until next January when the next head coaching hiring cycle begins.
Belichick reportedly has interest in coaching the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles or New York Giants if any of those jobs become available.
In the meantime, Belichick has a chance to thrive in his role as an analyst given his clear love and appreciation for the sport of football.
Belichick excelled as part of the NFL 100 All-Time Team show on NFL Network in 2019, which gave a glimpse into what he can do on television despite his reputation for having a gruff demeanor on the sidelines.
