Bears 2024 NFL Mock Draft: Roundup of B/R Staff, Kiper and Expert Picks
The Chicago Bears are the most powerful team at the top of the 2024 NFL draft.
The Bears will most likely select a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick and they also hold the No. 9 selection.
Chicago could go in a wide array of directions with its second pick in the top 10. Another wide receiver could be added, as could an anchor of the offensive line or a top defensive prospect.
The Bears may also be in the trade market with the No. 9 pick depending on how the draft shakes out.
But the most certain thing that all draft experts can agree on is a quarterback is in Chicago's future at No. 1.
No. 1 Overall Pick

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. called the Bears pick of Caleb Williams at No. 1 a "no-brainer pick" in his latest mock draft.
Pro Football Focus called Williams the "surest pick in the draft" in the latest mock on its site.
Williams is the clear No. 1 prospect in the draft class in the eyes of many scouts, but there is one differing opinion that stands out.
Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department placed Drake Maye at No. 1 in its latest mock draft.
"North Carolina's Drake Maye should be an easy prospect to buy into for any organization," B/R's Derrik Klassen said. "He is young (21), athletic and aggressive. Maye's arm is as good as anyone's in the class and his best throws to all three levels are absolutely indefensible. Maye also brings great pocket presence and the ability to throw in crowded spaces, something the Bears' last quarterback was lacking."
Williams will most likely be the selection, but it is interesting to see a different opinion on a pick that many believe was made by the Bears long before they traded away Justin Fields.
No. 9 Overall Pick

There are mixed thoughts on what the Bears will do with the No. 9 overall pick.
B/R's NFL scouting department mocked Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu to the Bears, while Kiper predicted Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze would be the pick.
Pro Football Focus predicted an in-division trade with the Minnesota Vikings that allowed the Vikings to jump up to No. 9 to take Maye.
Odunze was the Bears' pick at No. 11 in the PFF mock draft with the proposed Vikings trade.
The one thing all the experts can agree is the Bears will take an offensive approach to the No. 9 pick.
A new wide receiver could form an excellent trio with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, or the Bears can add protection for the quarterback they take at No. 1.
Third Round Pick

The Bears do not have a second-round pick, so after their first-round frenzy, they will wait until the No. 75 overall pick unless a trade happens.
B/R's NFL scouting department predicted Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton would be the pick at No. 75.
Kiper brought forth an interesting offensive line prospect at No. 75 for the Bears in the form of Yale's Kiran Amegadije.
"Amegadjie played just four games last season after tearing his quad muscle in October, but he has intriguing traits in a 6-foot-5 frame," Kiper wrote.
The pick may seem like a risk because of Amegadije's history, but he may be worth looking into because of his profile. He may be a prospect that takes a year or two to develop, but could be worth it in the long run.
If the Bears take an offensive tackle at No. 9, they should probably be in the wide receiver market in the third round.
