Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa Won't Hold Out, Will Attend OTAs Amid Contract Rumors
Despite not receiving a contract extension yet, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said he will not hold out for a contract and will attend organized team activities this spring, per Pro Football Network's Adam Beasley.
Tagovailoa, 26, will be entering the final year of a four-year, $30.275 million contract in 2024 if the two sides can't get an extension done before then.
In March, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Dolphins "appear dedicated" to signing Tagovailoa to a long-term deal, so it seems an extension could be coming soon.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Tagovailoa is coming off the best season of his career, throwing for 4,624 yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while leading the Dolphins to an 11-6 finish and earning his first Pro Bowl bid.
In his four-year career, Tagovailoa has established himself as a quick and accurate passer, leading the league in pass percentage in 2023 at 69.3 percent. Miami had one of the best offenses in the league last season, leading the NFL in passing yards per game and trailing just the Dallas Cowboys in points per game.
Tagovailoa was the maestro behind that offense, so keeping him with the Dolphins should be a priority.
There are still questions about Tagovailoa's ability to step up against quality competition, though. The Dolphins struggled against the league's best teams, going 1-5 against playoff teams in the regular season. Miami's season ended in the wild-card round after a stagnant offense mustered just a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Luckily for the Dolphins, Tagovailoa is still young and has time to get more experience that will be valuable in a quest for a Super Bowl. Miami can also now rest assured knowing it won't have to manage a holdout over Tagovailoa's contract extension.
