Under Armour All-America Game 2012: Top Recruits Who Won't Be Committing Today

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

With Under Armour All-America Game game set to take place this evening from Orlando, many will be tuned in to see which prospects announce and commit to college programs during the telecast. It's a fun sight to see, no doubt.

However, there are still several big-name prospects that will not be committing tonight, and thus we will have to continue to follow their recruitment all the way up to National Signing Day.

Here are some big names form high school football that won't likely be committing today.

Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB

1 of 8

Jenkins is a 6'3", 250-pound DE that is also a premier all-around athlete. He has just a raw set of skills and is a player whom I feel will get better when he gets to college.

He can play the traditional 40-front DE role or kick outside and stand up as a 3-4 OLB.His nickname is "The Freak," as those around him say he's an amazing athlete.

Alabama and Florida are the top two and Georgia is behind.

Nelson Agholor, ATH

2 of 8

The 6'1", 180-pounds Agholor has the versatility to play WR, RB, CB or DS. He has tremendous speed and quickness, and is probably the best all-around athlete in the nation.

Many project him to FS in college, but don't sleep on him being a WR.

The consensus seems to be this race is down to Notre Dame, Florida, USC and Florida State.

Ifeadi Odenigbo, OLB/DE

3 of 8

One of the most athletically gifted players in the country, Odenigbo also has a ton of potential. He projects best as a 3-4 stand up OLB-rush end type.

At 6'4", 220-pounds, Odenigbo is as good going forward as he is changing direction. He shows quick feet, burst, balance, agility and great explosion.

Even though Odenigbo is not committing today, he still could announce on Saturday or the very near future. Stanford is my prediction, over Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Avery Young, OT

4 of 8

At a big and lean 6'6", 275-pounds, Young is a fantastic OT prospect who could play the LT position in college. He's very athletic, long and flashes some strength.

Young can fit in any blocking scheme due to his athleticism and toughness.

Auburn leads Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Virginia Tech is trailing.

Josh Garnett, OL

5 of 8

I have Garnett listed as an OL prospect because he is being recruited by some schools as an OG, but many others think he'll be an OT. He's even hinted around that DT may be his favorite spot.

He's 6'5" and 275-pounds, and I think his best spot is actually LG. He's a good pass protector, but he may not be suited for the prime time in space. However, he's athletic in a short area and plays with solid strength and quickness.

Stanford, Michigan and Notre Dame are the top three.

Eddie Goldman, DT

6 of 8

From 4-3 DT to 3-4 DE, I can put Goldman everywhere except 4-3 weak-side DE, as he shows good versatility to pretty much play almost all of the DL positions in football.

I see a 6'4", 305-pound frame and has play strength, snap quickness and anchor ability to stop the run. Goldman can also push the pocket from the middle and has a fight to pressure as a pass-rusher.

Florida State, Miami, Auburn, Alabama, Maryland, Clemson and Cal are hunting.

Kwon Alexander, OLB

7 of 8

Even though he tore his ACL early last season, I still have Alexander as one of the top prizes in the nation.

Hailing from Alabama and at 6'2" and a few biscuits over 210 pounds, Kwon Alexander defines the term "sideline to sideline," as he can beat RBs to holes and OLs with angles.

Alexander can also factor as a blitzer, and stay on the field in passing situations with ease due to his easy change of direction to cover RBs and TEs.

Auburn, LSU, Alabama and Florida State are the core four.

Andrus Peat, OT

8 of 8

Peat is a heady player whom I think will be one of the types of OTs that sets his targets up 2-3 snaps down the line.

Combine added girth with great technique, set quickness, patience, balance, nimble feet, athleticism and mirror ability, and you got something. I am also geeked about him because he came into this offseason at just 280 pounds, but word has it he is up to 305 now on his 6'7" frame

Nebraska, USC, Stanford and Florida State are the main four right now.
